You see two minotaurs resting on a bench in the empty local square. They appear to be lovers as one rests on the other affectionately. Or at least that's what it appears to be.
You didn't know much about minotaurs, besides the fact that they were frightening, but you knew that they were your next option at the moment. You decided that If they didn't know anything, then you would finally take a well-deserved rest. Taking a deep breath and remembering your role, you walk toward the two minotaurs ready to get it over with.
Both are tall and incredibly muscular, one donning a white loincloth and nose ring, and the other donning a black loincloth. Apart from their clothing and accessories, the minotaurs look very similar, if only for a difference in their fur colors. The black loincloth one has a light brown fur color, almost resembling a familiar shade, while the other had fur comprised of a darker shade of brown.
You gulp as they look at you, the only other being present, as you make your way toward them. They seem to be indifferent to your presence, but you weren't exactly the most talented at reading expressions on a bull's face. Who was?
"H-h-hello..." you state nervously as you glance at their inhuman eyes.
"I...I...I was wondering. If you mean. I mean seen! An adolescent boy on the cusp of manhood within town. He's about sixteen and...uh has sandy blonde hair, nearly brown. He was spotted coming to this town a few days ago."
At this point you have your face head down. You found yourself more prone to stuttering and becoming nervous when making eye contact with the bulls. The fact they could squish your scrawny body easily didn't help either.
You take a quick glance up to see an odd expression on the bull's faces. One looks shocked and the other looks bewildered and confused. Not expecting these responses, you lift your head completely to look at them. They don't speak or mutter anything for a bit until the one with the piercing speaks.
"Sure I saw a boy come into town a few days ago. Looked lost. I merely 'helped' him before he left for good," he says in a powerful deep voice. A slight grin on his face. If there was something amusing about the disappearance of a boy, you couldn't see it.
"U-uh-um. Thank you. Do you know where he might've gone?" you ask the minotaur hopefully. "His father is at hard work looking for him."
The minotaur continues to stare at you before asking you something. "How old are you?"
"I'm fifteen." You state, somewhat confused at the direction of the conversation.
"You don't seem human... how odd?" The minotaur says as he views you with a slight interest before the other speaks.
"I don't think we can help you. You better head off and ask something else," he speaks in a deep controlling voice. Almost sounding annoyed.
"Oh! Uh... then thanks." You say before running to the closest tavern.
You step inside and make way to a booth, passing humans and mythological creatures inside. As you sit down, you feel your heart race from the experience you just had. Talking to those two minotaurs had been the most stressful conversations you had all day. Luckily, they turned out to be the most useful.
Hoping you were close to finding the Lord's son, you decide to rest before deciding on what to do next.
