Among the many conspiracy theories involving businesses of any size yet overall quite in what they do or where they get their funding, be that foreign nationals (to the business’s home country) to a collection of millionaires and/or CEOs of questionable background. Well... unless you’ve been lax in searching you’d by now know of Awakentime .INC.
What is Awakentime .INC you may ask? In public and on court papers you’d normally find on businesses its only oddity is that it’s got buildings all over the planet, even in some countries with a very negative view normally of outside presence. Each building staff is also manned by the locals of their areas almost exclusively as well, usually the only foreign members being managers or board members that take personal interest in making sure things are run as smoothly (And secretly) as required.
Publicly Awakentime is some sort of skill mixing business. Take a fallen accountant, a retired from injury dancer, washed-out military soldier... they accept almost anyone their scouts target and often offer in-house training no matter what so long as these targets have skills they seek. Still all anyone normally knows is that Awakentime, maybe, seeks to help in unifying humanity in mindset and acceptance while also endorsing the preserving of history both creature and art.
But... if you were indeed somehow scouted out then you’d surely learn how different from Public Awakentime’s operations are. For in reality they work on two very different fields focused on bringing the ‘lost’ creatures (and they consider humanity a type of creature) out of dreams and into reality. And are succeeding at that before you question the notion
First of course are what they label the ‘vanished’ creatures. Dinosaurs, Dodos, Pre-historic fish. If it existed then using classified beyond normal classified means of science then Awakentime can restore them with cloning methods. They do limit themselves in this field though. After all Dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus Rex or Suchominus are highly dangerous so their numbers are the most highly limited. But restored all the same.
The other side of the scale, most unbelievably, are the creatures often considered myths but which Awakentime has either from even greater marvels of their secret research or via magic their research teams in the fields uncovered and they succeeded in working, have become a reality if secrets one. And see, this is where most of those scouted end up... at least with mythological creatures known as being part-human in design. For they turn people into these myths.
Also be aware that these transformed myths aren’t limited in defence like the vanished but despite all the efforts of transformations Awakentime desires ‘natural born’ ones. So clearly if you’re up to here normal-human minded or not, these ‘people’ are often expected to be mating frequently to booster their numbers away from transforming new blood.
Surprisingly more to know is how Awakentime keep all this quite with all the people coming and going and not least over the number going being less. See merely getting scouted into their ‘programs’ isn’t final, indeed the scouts don’t just grab people off the streets but offer them jobs in various forms that mute the details. And believe it or not if those scouted have families then the families are actually asked to come along.
Thing is... involving children under adult age means that unless your joining the vanished category or researching and your being transformed then they must follow you. Then again depending on the family dynamic most families let the children choose overall, just families must all be of the same chosen transformation into a mythological being. Then again very few ever revert (you can be transformed back after awhile if you need to know) and in terms of mating, transforming children has a benefit in if possible creating long-term relationships between fellow beings. Indeed it was common knowledge among the board and staff that those that entered the programs with children and stayed long enough for these children to grow into legal adults and leave to do so without said children following.
Then again besides this the very idea of the kind of work done by Awakentime seems ludicrous to most people, even conspiracy theorists and to that... what is the motive behind creating and making real mythological creatures? But what’s more? Why stay quite if so many accept it.
