The first sight to greet Ray as he walked back inside was Frank sitting on the couch, legs spread wide with a beer in his hand. Sitting o the floor in front of Frank was the rest of the six pack. "These are mine." He said only glancing our way and reaching for the remote for the flat screen television.
"Why don't you all sit." I offered. "I think we could all use a beer."
"Damn right." Gorsig replied, sitting and taking up the rest of the couch that was suppose to seat five.
"Get out two of the twelve packs in the garage. I think the four of us could use a drink."
Going and grabbing the two 12 pack, I walked back in and took a can before sitting down. I had already opened it and taken a deep gulp whe I heard, "Uh, Ray. The last time I check, the drinking age was 21."
I took a moment to savor the beer before saying, "Well, then I'm definitely of age." Seeing the confusion on the four's faces, "We've all been turned into our in game avatar, right?"
"Unfortunately." Shaun replied in a high pitched but sullen voice.
"Well the I'm 25 now. What about each of you."
"30." Frank grunted.
"Still 55." Gorsig responded.
"21." Shaun said with a relieved sigh, bring the can back up to his face.
"Your 25 Ray?" My Dad asked.
"Well, this is a problem, because I'm 22."
"How's that a problem?" Frank asked.
"Simple," I answered. "I'm older than him. I can't have a father who is younger than me. Mom is going to freak out."
"Yep. At best I could be Ray's younger brother. And as for your mother, she's going to do more than freak out. She is going to be pissed."
"Don't worry Mike," I told my dad with a grin. "I promise to protect my little brother."
This caused Gorsig and Frank to burst out laughing. Even Shaun let out a few giggles.
"That's going to take some getting use too." Mike said
"What, Bro?"
"You calling me Mike."
"Well, I guess we both will."
It was at that moment when a loud bang came from the back door.
