"Mom, Dad," said Jared, walking in with a jacket and the maternity shirt. "I need to explain something."
"What is it?" said Jared's mother. "If you're going to tell us something, just tell us!"
"I can't!" he yelled. "Look, the only way you're ever going to believe this is if I demonstrate." He had last worn the jacket when he was coming from the hospital and had taken it off before changing back to himself, so it should work. Jared put the amulet around his head and touched it to the jacket.
"Well?" said his father. "What are you going to show us?"
"Watch carefully," said Jared. "Look at my face."
"It looks a little different," said his mother.
"That's strange," said his father. "It looks like Jared's shirt is tighter on the chest."
"I'm turning into a girl," said Jared. "It's a magic amulet!"
"There's no such thing!" said his mother.
"Look at me. Just look at me! It's real!" His mother looked closely at his face, then poked at his chest. "Ow," he said. "Mom, those breasts are real." Jared took off his shirt to reveal rapidly growing breasts.
In a few minutes there was no doubt that Jared had become a woman. "Jay, you can come out now!" she yelled, and the boy soon walked in.
"Who--?" said his parents.
"That's why I needed to demonstrate it," said Jared. "This is a magic medallion. It turns you into whoever last wore the clothes, or if nobody wore it, into who the clothes were made for. I found this maternity shirt and turned into a girl. I gave birth, I changed back, and I made my son this age. His name's Jay."
"Hello," said Jay. "This is my Mom."
His parents were on the verge of saying "that's ridiculous", but it was impossible for them to deny that Jared had changed into a girl.
