Not wanting to repeat her mistake with the werewolf, Sam set her feet, took a deep breath, and did her best to time a desperate swing at the black knight's neck as he barreled towards her.
And somehow... somehow... she landed it. The knight's helmet toppled to the ground, and a jet of terrifying black smoke poured fourth from where his head should be, before the whole suit of armor crumpled to the ground, empty.
Somewhere behind her, she heard clapping, and laughter. Turning, she came face to face with... the Old Man who first sold those cursed dice to her!?
"Very good, very good. That's all seven challenges completed. You've finished the game."
Sam sputtered, looking around, thinking of all she'd been through. "Does that mean I get to go home? Will you turn me back to normal?"
"Well, you can stick around here if you'd like instead. Hop on that little horse of yours, ride about slaying monsters. Probably more interesting than your old life, no? In any case, should you wish, just walk through that portcullis, it'll send you all the way back to where this started, in my shop, looking over my wares."
The Old Man then stepped away, leaving Sam to consider her options, and turning to face a wall. "I did make it clear that going back would wipe her memory of all this, dooming her to simply choose a new set of dice, yes? And speaking of new, here's a gift for you."
He points a finger forward, directly at whoever it is he's speaking to, and pulls out the descriptions of dice from when this all started, flipping them over once more, with a new set suddenly described along with all the others that had been available.
STEEL - After rolling, you may split one die away. Only the result of the remaining die affects this challenge, but the result of the second die may be held and applied as a bonus to some future challenge.
"Feel free to use those instead of what Sam picks the next time you play, or add them to your personal collection to break out at any time. That's it. That's your prize. Bye!"
