You are ordered into a wagon with the other girls. Because you resist and protest, you are pushed with a spear and enter the wagon, which goes along a path for a long time. You get adjusted to your new body, while Tam and the others wonder out loud what sort of husband they'll get, all hoping for the best. Some hope for a hottie, others the sort that look like a girl to make the transition easier, the most practical praying for a nice one, knowing beauty always fades away and that kindness is much better in the long run. Hotties are too often arrogant and unfaithful, anyway. All have a point though, all should know, after all, they were guys not too long ago. You point out that these men must be desperate to accept marrying chicks that used to be guys. It'd be a turnoff to any man. The others agree but say that beggars aren't choosers and that if it's all they have, these men will agree. Besides, they're all hot girls now and guys don't need as much to become horny. The unfortunate crime records of rape and incest prove that.
But in spite of the conversations making the trip more interesting, torches and huts indicate that they are approaching, drums sounding merrily. People, mostly children, try to get a glimpse of the future brides-to-be. When they get out and are set on a stage, all the village stares at them, pointing to their hips, buttocks, chest, hair and lips. People jostle each other and exclaim and shout sentences of anticipation. The leader of your captors then gets on the stage, binds each of your hands and shouts out loud and clear:
"Let the auction begin! Choose wisely and live happy!"
