As the school day ended, Jeff quickly wrangled up his charges, making his way towards the car he buckled them in as he made his way for home. As he was about to leave, the oddest things began to happen.
It started innocently enough, Jeff watching as Jillian ran towards him. The teenage girl stated she would be busy this week. As a result the lab partners wouldn't be able to meet up to finish their project when they originally planned. She asked if they could meet today, taking Jeff by surprise. Not wanting to get an incomplete on the assignment, Jeff invited Jillian to his home so they could finish their work.
As Jeff now went about getting dinner ready, the second surprise occurred. A knock on the front door drew his attention. It struck him as odd as he wasn't expecting anyone today. Slowly making his way to the door, he answered, surprised to see Harry, Becky, Joey, and Hannah.
Hannah's soccer practice had gone short, her babysitters bringing her home. After arriving home the girl wanted to see her best friend Joey. The two six year olds quickly deciding they wanted to see their other friends. Jeff now raised an eyebrow as Hannah practically dragged everyone inside as she looked to play. "Sorry," Becky replied meekly. "You know how Hannah is. Always on the move." Jeff chuckled, saying it was no problem as the quartet entered. Now looking at his home, Jeff was astounded by what he saw. Practically everyone who had been affected by the Chronovac now sat in his living room.
Jeff for a moment thought the coincidence odd, however, he had other thoughts on his mind. Namely Ms. Fuentes and her unborn son.
Jeff still wanted to help Alicia, technically he was responsible. How to help Alicia though escaped him at the moment. Should he return Kris to his original age? Find a husband for Alicia? Perhaps age himself up to become Alicia's husband. Jeff wasn't sure, maybe he could talk to some of the teens that now occupied his home.
"I don't know Jeff," Harry shrugged. "I mean, I wouldn't even know where to start with Ms. Fuentes. You want to find her a boyfriend?"
"Sort of," Jeff replied.
"Id like to help her," Becky added. "I mean Ms. Fuentes is a great teacher. She's always been cool. She didn't even freak out that much when she found me and Harry." Jeff now noticed both Harry and Becky blush crimson. Apparently when Jeff had altered Alicia's age, he had altered reality. Now instead of a teenage Alicia finding the two teens, it was an adult Alicia finding the pair. After sitting down with the young lovebirds, she had imparted a great deal of wisdom to the two of them. Obviously the teens had taken Ms. Fuentes advice to heart.
"I've always liked Ms. Fuentes," Jillian added. "Shes always been really nice. Maybe we can try to set her up on a blind date or something."
Jeff nodded, a small smile spreading across his face. The changes he had brought had obviously improved the former adults. That Jeff could confide in them and even ask their opinion on what was troubling him was a great comfort.
The sound of the kids now laughing drew the teens attention. Jeff and the others now watched as the girls came sprinting into the living room, their arms full of makeup as they smiled at the teens.
"We want to do makeup," Cheyenne said excitedly.
"Where did you get all that," Jeff asked. The girls fidgeted slightly, looking towards the floor. "We went into your moms room," Jane said softly. "But the makeup was old. Can we do makeup and our nails please?"
Jeff narrowed his eyes, before a mischievous grin spread across his face. Beckoning Harry over, he whispered into his ear. Harry smirked, nodding as the two teens now looked towards the girls.
"How about you guys paint someone else's nails," Jeff stated.
"Who?"
Jeff and Harry now moved towards Jillian and Becky. The two teenage girls had their legs resting on Jeffs ottoman. Jeff and Harry nodded, a wide grin forming on their faces as they now sat down the the teenage girls legs and removed their shoes.
"Hey," Jillian laughed. "What are doing?"
"Well the girls want to paint someone's nails," Jeff smiled. "We're volunteering you two."
"Oh you guys suck," Becky giggled as she playfully struggled against her boyfriend. "Do you really expect us to let a bunch of kids paint our nails?"
"You can always use nail polish remover when they're done," Jeff said. "I know we have some." Both teen girls now cast Jeff and Harry a dubious look, both teens giggling as they tried to keep their socks on.
"Tell you what," Jeff offered. "I'll even do the bulk of the work on our project. We'll even take the boys outside to play to give you some peace and quiet."
"Ugh fine," Jillian and Becky groaned, the two girls sighing in annoyance as Jeff and Harry removed their socks. "But you two owe us."
Jeff chuckled softly as he now stood, the group of 5 and 6 year old girls laughing as they now went about picking out nail polish. "Okay guys," he said. "Lets head outside to play." Ryan, Tommy, Joey and Artie now sprinted towards the backdoor, calling for Jeff and Harry to hurry. As the group now made their way outside they called for Max. The 5 year old still glued to his IPad. "Cmon Max get the lead out."
Max said okay, the 5 year old still on his IPad. As he slowly slid off the couch, he paused as a new app now downloaded onto it. Max, while smarter than his peers, was still learning how to read. Thw boy now trying to sound out what this was.
"Chro..no..vac," he whispered. "Whats a Chronovac?" Max now pressed the app, wondering what exactly this new game was.
