Spark sobbed, trying to force her way past her parents, the two fairies now barring her from seeing Connors coffin. "Please I need to see him," she sobbed.
Arion and Nova simply scowled at their daughter. "Our family protected the Morelands for generations," Nova cried. "You failed! You've disgraced us!"
"I can't believe I considered you as my successor," Arion growled. "You're no daughter of mine!"
Spark sank to her knees, clutching herself as she sobbed. The fairy was shaking like a leaf, tears flowing freely down her cheeks. How could this happen? She had failed so completely, losing Connor, disowned by the Morelands and her own family, and now prevented from even saying goodbye.

Spark wiped her nose, the voice she heard was barely more than a whisper, yet it sounded familiar. Once more she now heard the voice, it was louder, clearer now. Turning she felt hot tears now begin to well up as she stared at Amara. "What to do you want? Can't you just leave me alone!"
Amara quickky made her way towards the fairy, bending down so she could look her in the eye. Part of the mara wanted to listen. She and Spark would never get along, the fairy was a polar opposite. Confident, outspoken, and as much as it pained Amara to say very pretty.
Amara was never very confident, hiding her appearance behind an illusion. She was self conscious, alone, and had never felt pretty, until she met Miranda. She had only known the Hispanic girl a short time and in that time she had finally found acceptance. Now, she would show to herself that Miranda wasn't wrong in caring about her.
"Listen to me Spark," she said. "This isn't real. Its an illusion, a nightmare caused by whatever this thing is."
"Is this who you listen to," Arion scoffed. "A nightmare demon? What makes you think she's not the one that caused your failure. "
"Dont listen to them," Amara exclaimed. "They're trying to trick you. This thing is feeding on you. Useing your worst fears against you!" Spark sniffed, gazing up at the plus sized girl with bloodshot eyes.
"I know we haven't gotten along," Amara stated. "I know I caused you pain and I'm sorry. Please Spark, I want to help you. Just take my hand."
Spark bit her lip, none of this seemed right. How could she trust a Mara? Still, could she be right? Could this just be an awful nightmare? Slowly she now reached her hand out, listening to her parents rage at her.
Spark gasped, her eyes flying open as she found herself gazing into the demonic face of Amara. "Amara," she asked.
Amara features now shifted, the horns shrinking into her forehead as her eyes and mouth returned to human proportions. "You okay," she asked.
Spark blinked, the nightmare still front and center in her mind. "Course I am," she scoffed, wiping away her tears. The fairy now gasped, frantically looking for Connor. Seeing the teen now tending to their friends, Spark now bound towards him, practically tackling him.
"Whoa Spark," Connor gasped as he tried to steady himself. "You okay?"
"I am now," Spark whimpered. "Thanks to you."
"Don't thank me it was Amara that saves you." Connor stated, pointing towards the mara. Spark gawked, slowly turning her gaze towards Amara. The nightmare demon had a sullen expression, gazing down at the ground. It was obvious the demon wasn't expecting Spark to be thankful. "Hey Amara," Spark called, the demon now sadly glancing up at her. "Thank you."
"Yeah no problem," Amara replied, a small smile forming on her face. Spark now turned to Connor, her anger rising as she looked out ahead of her. "I'm going to fucking kill whatever this thing is!"
"Wait," Rei exclaimed, the teen trying to gather herself after being shaken from her own nightmare. "Where's Nat?"
"She went ahead," Connor said, pointing towards the corridor Nat ran down. The others now paused, exchanging a knowing look. They needed to find Nat and finish this thing off before it hurt anyone else.
