It wasn't long before the big event began: Spookyville 2022. Fortunately, Miles was able to get permission to do coverage of the French Masquerade Ball, as long as he didn't forget to do the other coverage he'd been sent to do. While he and Lexia were able to the coverage no problem, Miles was wondering who was going to do the other stuff.
---
Fortunately, there were enough members of Animalia Ambassadoria to do the coverage, as well as a few others. The Quasi-Raccoon Cuties, and their newest member, Jin, were chosen to do the coverage of the original "entrance to Spookyville", with Dr. Fred and Manny Calavera, but even they were being driven up the wall with Manny's bad jokes. Sarah and Malice, on the other hand, were doing the more child-friendly entrance that had been added on this year.
While it was revealed that it was partly inspired by It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! , it was also inspired by a real problem: those bullies and jerks who like to ruin other people's fun, from smashing people's jack-o-lanterns, throwing rolls of toilet paper over people's house, throwing eggs at people's houses, to even stealing their decorations.
In it, Linus is, once again, waiting for the Great Pumpkin, and Sally's accompanying him (like in the special), but this time their persistence is rewarded, and the Great Pumpkin appears (instead of Snoopy done up as the World War I Flying Ace), dressed in greenish-brown leather armor and wearing an orange mask styled like a jack-o-lantern's face. When Linus faints, the Great Pumpkin uses some "pumpkin-scented smelling salts" to bring him around while also explaining what his real purpose is:
"Sorry, Linus," he apologized, "But you appear to have me mixed up with someone else. My purpose is not to deliver toys to good kids, but to punish the bad ones."
"What 'bad ones'?" asked Linus in confusion.
"You know the old saying in some places how those who don't believe in Halloween will be tormented by the curse of the Halloween Spirit ?" Asked the Great Pumpkin.
"Kind of..." sort-of-answered Linus.
"And that's my job." answered the Great Pumpkin. But then as a reward for his persistence, Linus and Sally were taken on a "great adventure" by the Great Pumpkin to prank/punish the bad kids. From scaring a group of bullies bullying candy from younger kids, to ambushing another group of bullies throwing eggs at another person's house, it was all good wholesome fun with plenty of toe-tapping songs. Finally, the Great Pumpkin decided to "crash" Violet's Halloween party and scare Lucy silly, and Linus and Sally got in on the act with some disguises. Finally, Charlie Brown got greeted by the Great Pumpkin with an unexpected surprise.
"So, what did you get this year?" asked the Great Pumpkin.
"The same thing I've been getting for a while," answered Charlie Brown, holding it out, "a bag full of rocks."
"Oh, that won't do." replied the Great Pumkin, taking the bag and pouring orange and black glitter in it before doing a special song-and-dance/spell where he gives a good warning about Halloween: "So, when ghosts and goblins come for more; ring the bell on your front door; you'd better not be stingy, or your nightmares will come true--ooo!
"So... what did you do?" asked Charlie Brown, receiving the bag back.
"I turned those rocks into special rock candy." said the Great Pumpkin, pulling out one and chomping it. "Delicious."
Eventually, the Great Pumpkin took Linus and Sally back to the pumpkin patch where they first met, gave them each a bag of candy to make up for them missing trick-or-treat, and bid farewell saying that he's "got a long night and lots to do".

Again, what was probably the most popular was the Meat Market, which was converted to the Slaughterhouse for Spookyville. Of course, this was resulting in underage people trying all kinds of ways to sneak in. While some were really good tries, others were amateurish enough to warrant a laugh or two, such as the infamous "Mclovin ID card".

Another thing that was going on was "Horror Eroticas", whether performed on stage or recorded and bought at the gift shop. However, this was causing Animalia's newest headache to emerge. A new group of women, around six or seven, had arrived in Animalia, but they seemed to rub every Animalian they met the wrong way because they both looked, and acted, like bimbos, regardless of their race, and it wasn't just the blonde hair and enormous, fake curves. In the spirit of Halloween, they had all requested "corruption-style" conversions, and fortunately none of them had requested horse conversions. They had been waiting while things were being set up and had taken the opportunity to get their implants removed, but it was the size of some of these, once they were removed, that had even more people shaking their heads.
"Have you seen the size of some of these implants?" asked Scala as she and Miss Fabina watched Betti getting railed by "Daddy Deerest", who was one of the few tenants at the Bara House who wasn't a bear Animalian or a predator.
"I have, and I just..." said Miss Fabina, shaking her head at the size of some of those implants. "I'm not sure some of these breast or butt implants are legal."
"They probably went to the black-market surgeons to get them." said Shyra, all too familiar with such things due to experience, though she never had to go to such people.
