Travis and Peter were two of the most handy pledges, so it was no surprise that they had decided to stick around the frat house and see what they could throw together. Peter was listing off a few potential outfits he could make with the neglected garments in his dorm's closet, but Travis was leading them to the frat house store room.
"We've got time, and plenty of supplies, why don't we try to make something?" Travis offered, flicking on the light to the back room.
Peter scanned the piles of miscellaneous junk. There were a few cardboard boxes, some brooms that had seen better days, several different buckets of paint, and even some spare arts-and-craft supplies like pipe cleaners. "You really think we'll be able to make something out of all of this?"
"Sure!" Travis nodded, walking over to one of the large boxes. "This seems about your size..." He held it up in front of his chest, before tossing it over to Peter, "How about we do the whole cardboard-robot routine? I think we've got some metallic silver paint around here somewhere."
Peter looked into the box. It smelled vaguely of potato chips. "I dunno, Vic was pretty adamant that we didn't do the whole sheet-over-the-head thing. I'm serious, I've got a legit looking cowboy hat up in my room."
Travis laughed, "You've got a single cowboy hat. What am I supposed to wear?" He looked around some more, "Oh wow, there's a refrigerator box over here! We could probably both fit in it?"
Peter set down the box he was holding onto, "And do what exactly?"
His friend looked sheepish, "Uh... two headed robot? That's more original than a sheet, right?"
"Uh... maybe." Peter kept scanning the room, trying to come up with something more original, "We should probably just see if there's anything left that costume shop Mark found?"
Travis laughed, "Oh come on, that's your best idea?"
Peter scratched the back of his head, "I'm not an idea guy, whenever we build these float things, I'm always just the one who paints." He bent over, picking up a spare paint can.
He turned the label around, reading the color out loud, "Looks like we have ton of ventablack paint." He chuckled, "Why don't we just paint ourselves in this and stick to the shadows?"
Travis blinked, "Don't we always buy the cheap stuff? Is that even non-toxic?" He picked up a spray can of silver paint, "Come on, beep-boop."
