Jacob and Connor along with all of his friends were now in the living room of the Moreland household with the strange woman and her daughter who were sitting on the couch across from the group, although the tension had calmed down, they noticed that Jacob Moreland still had his pistol out should anything happen.
"Alright now, both of you start explaining, exactly who are you and how do you know Ezekiel Kane." Jacob said.
"Okay so, hi I'm Sylvia and this is my daughter, Tanya." The teenage girl said to everyone.
"She's your daughter?" Miles asked confused.
"Yeah, and I'm single cutie." Tanya said winking at Miles making him blush.
"Tanya, don't. Yes, so my daughter and I came to the living world and had to posses two people. We found this mother and daughter in a graveyard and...well I obviously missed my target. Now I'm back in a teenager's body and having all these weird emotions." Sylvia explained.
"While I'm in the mother's body, I tell you she has one of the most gorgeous bodies I've ever seen." Tanya said.
"Okay, enough with how hot the body you're in is. Just what is your story with Ezekiel Kane and how are you exactly here?" Spark demanded to know.
Sylvia and Tanya looked at each other and now looked sorrowful.
"It was thirteen years ago..." Sylvia began to explain. "My daughter and I were part of a coven of witches. Witches are of course not exactly known in the public eye as still being alive and well. They only exist in myths, fairy tales, fiction and costume shops."
"I was only in my early teens just starting my own life when my mom dropped the ball that I was descended from a line of witches." Tanya next said. "It was a little scary at first, but once I began to learn the ropes, it became thrilling for me. Of course there is always the possibility of someone seeing our magic in public."
"I had told my daughter to be careful, never let anyone see what you can do, especially in public. One day, she did something that nearly exposed not only her and myself, but also friends of ours to the public." Sylvia said.
"I was just out minding my own business when I saw some little kids at a park. The kids were playing with a ball and it headed into the street, I wasn't sure if the driver was paying attention or not because the car was still coming at an alarming speed. I made sure no one saw me and used my magic as stealthily as I could and made the car swerve away from the kids. The driver and kids were safe, and I left thinking no one saw what I did, but as I was leaving the park, I saw a man who made my skin crawl as he looked at me." Tanya explained.
"It was Ezekiel Kane. He followed my daughter home and waited until nightfall to kill us. We tried to put up a fight and tried to convince him that we were just a mother and daughter trying to live normal lives. He didn't care, he didn't even kill us fast that night. He practically toyed with us as we both died a slow death. Before he came into our house, I had my daughter and I put a spell on ourselves. Should Ezekiel Kane ever make his presence known again, our spirits would return to the mortal world and inhabit two bodies until our business is fully concluded and that means....Ezekiel Kane is completely dead." Sylvia finished explaining.
Everyone was engrossed in the story and Nat held close to Rei as she held back her tears hearing their sad story. Amara looked like she couldn't help but cry as Miranda soothed her girlfriend's grief.
"That is a tragic story. But there is something you haven't explained yet." Jacob Moreland said leaning in close to them.
"How exactly did you know about me and my family?" Jacob Moreland asked them.
"Well....the Moreland family name is sort of an urban legend in some magical communities." Sylvia replied.
"Yeah, and you're grandfather, Malcolm, was kind of cute when we met him in the afterlife." Tanya casually commented.
"YOU MET MALCOLM MORELAND?!" Jacob, Connor, and Spark all shouted.
Sylvia glared at Tanya for the slip as Tanya looked a little confused.
"Oh right, we agreed 'you' were going to get to that point." Tanya said with an embarrassed grin.
