Spookyville around the world...

added by makutamon 10 months ago O

Part of the reason why everyone really enjoyed Halloweeen, especially children, was because of, of course, the candy. But Animalia's special event, Spookyville, helped focus attention on other things.

---

The Quasi-Raccoon Coverage of Spookyville was considered one of the more popular ones, mainly because of the cultural shock that almost everyone was experiencing, but Jin was more than willing to help explain it to them. While they were focused more on information rather than comedy, there were still a few things that were really amusing, like when they got ambushed by the Headless Horseman in Sleepy Hollow.

The Sunken Ship of Avarice Abyss was the newest part of the Nature, You Scary! exhibit, which not only included all kinds of animals that looked too weird to be real, but it also included several larger-than-life models of insects that had been taken over by cordyceps fungi, thereby getting turned into zombies.

Of course, they didn't forget what they were there for, and entered the Sunken Ship, and not only did they get to meet Ghost and Xena, but also their new mates as well, as well as their new member, Gulf. Part of what made Gulf so unusual was how he had two hands, but no legs, similar to Snake Animalians.

Of course, it wasn't just in Lyre that Spookyville was celebrated. It was also celebrated, in a way, in Dino City, which briefly becomes something similar to Jurassic Park, though nobody really got eaten. The newest colony to join in in Spookyville was New Zerzura, which was more like Las Dias de Los Muertos with an ancient Egyptian twist: Overall, it was where Osiris briefly returns to the Land of the Living to spend time with Isis/Isa and Horus before returning to the Land of the Dead.

---

It wasn't just the Quasi-Raccoon Cuties' coverage of Spookyville that was popular on the website. Miles' coverage of the Halloween celebration at Miss Juliet's Mansion was also popular, mainly because of his coverage of Belle's Bêtes. While he mainly focused on covering the major features, he did engage in a little gambling. Fortunately, he had managed to break even, which is more than some people say when they gamble.

---

While Spookyville was great and a lot of fun, it was ultimately drawing to a close so people can start working on the next upcoming holiday: Thanksgiving, which would usually mean food, family, and plenty of both.
