Blue balls and technicolor

I tapped the dry end of my pen twice, my mind still focused on the possibilities I had to play with such an iconic phrase as "blue balls". I was about to make it a recognized medical condition, when another idea struck me. Why wouldn’t balls actually be blue. I bit my lower lip as I smirked, a sentence already propping in my head. My left hand was still mindlessly fondling with my enlarged nutsack as I started scribbling.

"Human scrotum is a hairless, leathery pouch made of two sacks. It is colloquially referred to as blue. The bright colour of this skin actually varies from an individual to another, ranging from dark greens to vibrant violets. This colouration can also evolves over long periods of time, or as a consequence of heavy stresses."

I paused for a moment to let the ink seep into the paper, my calligraphy transforming in print characters as my ballsack turned turquoise in the blink of an eye. Gone were the follicles: my heavy scrotum was now as smooth as it was filled. The texture caught me by surprise for a second, and I removed my thumb, but as I resumed stroking it, the feeling became more and more familiar by the second. Inspired, I wasn’t done, though.

"Human penis", I added, "is an organ with a natural colouration ranging from purple to red and orange hues. The prepuce is generally of a different colour, although it is not uncommon to have a monochromatic penis. Newborn and children exhibit dull coloration, which becomes vivid at puberty, until they reach sexual maturity."

Once more, the words settled in, as my huge dick turn a deep lavender-like colour. As I grew a new erection, the apple-red skin on my glans retracted and folded at its base. I didn’t put the pen away, but mustered all my willpower in my left hand, as to leave my genitals be, for now. I thought about the sewn-like line that runs under my heavy shaft and between my balls. Text instantly appeared.

"In males, the perineal raphe is a visible line or ridge of tissue on the body that extends from the anus through the perineum to the scrotum. It continues through the midline of the scrotum (scrotal raphe) and upwards through the posterior midline aspect of the penis (penile raphe)."

I smiled to myself. I couldn’t say I didn’t learn anything about science and anatomy today, even if only a name! I started striking a few words and rewritting a bit, until my work was over:

"In males, the perineal raphe is a ridge of tissue resulting in a yellow line on the body. It extends from the anus through the perineum to the scrotum. It continues through the midline of the scrotum (scrotal raphe) and upwards through the posterior midline aspect of the penis (penile raphe)."

Sure enough, the change took effect instantly. Men genitals now looked a bit cartoony, and very colourful. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it : maybe I overdid it a bit? Maybe not, though, and maybe I could also include the buttocks.

Before I made my decision, I went online to see how my change would affect the world. My first idea was to look at undergarments : would they still exist, be more explicit, more colourful?

After shaking my mouse to get the computer out of sleep, I typed down my favorite’s underwear website in the browser. I furrowed my brows, realizing I didn’t have such a favored brand minutes ago, as my fingers seemed very comfortable with the name. I first clicked onto the "formal" category. It brought me to all kinds of briefs and boxers, most of them of a uniform colour, but a significant amount also had various motifs, were it simple stripes, or emoji-like drawings. When I went to visit the informal section of the website, an ad popped-up.

I was awe-struck at the massive cherry-red dick on display. It could make a fire truck jealous. After a few moments of staring – and stirring down there – I read the text on the advertisement. "Want to look more manly? Dickchap will brighten you private parts." I closed it, half amazed, and half perturbed, and glanced at the website. Most boxers and briefs seemed to be specially designed to attract the eye of an onlooker directly to the midsection. It tool me a few minutes of observation before I noticed those underwear were tailored quite differently than the ones I used to know. Bigger tools definitely need more storage room, after all. As I scrolled down, I noticed how many of those underwear covered the butt, but would leave the package hanging in full display, like some kind of reverse jockstrap. That was odd. I wondered if it meant pants would also…

No. Pants didn’t have such an opening. They still had quite obvious alterations as to accommodate manhoods. Sizing also seemed to now come with an extra indicator for the inseam. I took the book and inquired to see the history of undergarments.

It seems that in this new reality I created, male genitals are an important sign of health and fecundity. Even wealth, in some areas. Primitive men only covered their genitals for very particular reasons, such as their mate’s pregnancy, grief, or a sign of old age. With migrations to colder climates, they started wearing crotchless pants and all sorts of robes or togas with holes, or draped in a fashion to exhibit their manly attributes. Only in latter centuries did it become common to cover their nether regions. As a way to compensate, men started wearing highly colourful, and decorated briefs that would go over their pants and tunics, or through the crotch-hole. With time, this became the norm, and still nowadays only very formal settings, like business meetings of high importance, funerals, graduation, etc require drab outfits.
