You enter the store, your heart beating fast. And you thought the evening would be spent watching a fantasy movie, like with mermaids or dragons. This store holds a lot more exciting surprises! You passed in front of it as you were journeying back to the dorms. This college promises to be a great place to study mythology and fantasy literature! The library has a great section of those! But back to the store. it has amazing costumes of imaginary creatures! Oh, it would be great to try them all. The store owner, a certain Merlin, appropriately enough, was very kind, telling you that you could come as often as you wished and that his costumes were at reasonable prices and that he understood you were a student. He said he was extremely glad at the prospect of meeting someone so interested in creatures of legends and folklore. In spite of your fears and of people finding you an oddball with your tastes for imaginary things, looks like you made a friend and found a place enchanting enough for you. So you brows the aisles, soaking in all the possibilities and magnificence of the costumes, gorging on their subtle touches and gorgeous sights.
"Hi," said a voice. "Are you going to a party too?"
That voice had belonged to Mark, a frat boy. Well, a frat pledge who was planning on going to a party. You quickly explained to him that you were not in a sorority and that you were just curious, your passion being fantasy. For a frat guy, he looked nice. Not boorish at all, like so many are or have the reputation of being. You talked a little and you decided to help him choose a costume. It was pleasant to chat and discuss things and it looked like Mark was a bit lost in his decisions and nervous at the idea of attending that party. Maybe you could help.
Unbeknownst to you both, Merlin was keeping an eye on you, waiting for the right idea and opportunity to present you with a costume. A fantasy enthusiast like you made his mind swirl with possibilities, and two potential lovebirds were also rife with things to do involving transformations. Mark had some potential too, of course. Oh, so many choices! But which one would be the most profitable, appropriate or entertaining for the warlock.
