Ty wonders just how age and weight interacted. An older child weighs a lot more than a baby, right? Now, if he aged a baby, would the baby naturally get heavier, or would the baby be the same weight and get too thin to live unless he got the weight from somewhere.
Ty figured that the baby would be the same weight. Which gave him a handy way to get rid of the extra weight.
Ty concentrated, making the baby thirty pounds heavier and also wishing that the baby would be old enough that thirty pounds heavier is just right. The baby began to grow, and soon there was an older child there, weighing maybe 40 pounds--and meanwhile Ty shrank and got younger. He then wished that another passerby would get younger, making him his original age again.
Ty then continued giving various people 1 or 2 pounds each until he was back at his normal weight too, but maybe that idewa would come in handy....
