That was when Serad remembered that Queen Beth had an appointment in less than an hour.
If it wasn't cancelled in time, then people would come looking for her, and he couldn't let them see her in such a humiliating pose.
He looked back at Beth hesitantly, before quickly walking out of the room, intending to take care of things as quickly as possible.
Shortly after Serad left, two Maids, one of which was pushing a small cart, entered the room.
They quickly started cleaning, until they reached the Vase that Beth was stuck in.
"I'm... not sure how we are supposed to clean this." Said one of the Maids, as she looked at the lewd display.
"Well, i suppose we treat it like any other Vase? I'll go get the polish."
"The Vase is covered in smudges and fingerprints, and the... top looks like it hasn't been polished at all, so perhaps you're right."
The other Maid came back with the polish, a rag, and a pair of gloves. "Remember to avoid getting any on your skin."
She immediately got to work, while the other Maid left to take care of other things in the room.
The Maid started off with the lower parts of the Vase, trying to avoid the top, but she couldn't do so for very long.
She sighed, put polish onto the rag, and got to work.
It took a long time before one cheek was polished to a shine, and she sighed again, realizing how long she would be spending on this.
More and more took the same shine as the rest of the Vase, and she finally got to the two openings.
"This opening is much larger, so the other one is likely just to complete the look... i'll just polish over it."
The two lips and the small nub below them quickly took on a mirror shine under the Maid's vigorous polishing.
"And now the last part." She applied a large amount of extra polish to the rag, before pushing her hand into the opening,
rotating it, while pushing in and out, until the rim was just as shiny as the rest, before pushing deeper.
The Maid spent a long time polishing the inside, and when she pulled out, it finally stopped trying to close.
"Now this Vase can actually be used. I'll never understand these eccentric novelty decorations..."
Her work had payed off, the entire Vase now had a uniform, glossy shine, the opening was much larger and rigidly held it's shape,
and the hardened polish had filled in any minor flaws and blemishes, making the top just as smooth as the rest of the Vase.
She rapped her knuckles lightly against one of the cheeks, eliciting a pleasant knocking sound. "Much better."
The Maid put the polish, rag and gloves back onto the cart, before walking over to the other Maid and helping her with the last few tasks,
which they quickly finished. "That should be everything." "Were you careful not to get any polish on you?" "Of course."
"Then i suppose we are finished with our work for today. Let's go to the mess hall, i heard there will be strawberry cake for dessert today."
They walked out, leaving behind an immaculate room, and a perfectly polished Vase.
