Serad sighed again, looking down at the Vase in frustration.
"If this thing didn't have the Queen's face on it, then i wouldn't have to worry about it affecting her reputation!"
Gradually his eyes started to widen. "If it didn't have her face..." He suddenly stood up, grabbed the Vase by the rim,
wrapped it in a nearby curtain, and headed for the door.
Serad walked into the Queen's research room, which was supposed to be off-limits for anyone but her, with a bundle under each arm.
He put down both of the bundles, locked the door, and unwrapped one of them, revealing the Vase, which he placed nearby,
before opening up the other bundle, containing several large sheets of sandpaper.
After placing the roughest sheet next to the Vase, Serad stood up grabbing the Vase by the rim again, placing it on the sandpaper.
"Alright, let's get started!" He started dragging the Vase back and forth on the sandpaper, until, a short while later,
white dust started to appear on the sandpaper.
Serad kept going for a few more minutes, before swapping out the sandpaper for one with a finer grit, and starting back up again.
The dust was much finer this time, and, after Serad felt that it had been long enough, he swapped it out again.
After several rounds of this, Serad decided to flip the Vase around, to see how far he had gotten.
He noted that, while the bottom was smooth, he could still vaguely make out the face.
"I mean it doesn't really look like her anymore... but its probably better to make sure. Let's just start over again."
Serad swapped the fine sandpaper out for the roughest again, restarting the entire process.
It was almost an hour later when Serad flipped the Vase again.
"Completely flat." He placed it on the floor and put some weight on one side of it. "Yep, seems even."
Serad straightened his back and stretched his arms. "Now i don't have to worry, people will just assume its a weird piece of art."
He leaned down again, knocked the dust out of the sandpaper, picked up a hand brush and dustpan, and started gathering the white dust.
After he made sure he'd gotten most of it, he started looking around for something he could dump it into, but couldn't find anything,
and decided to just empty the dustpan into the Vase. "Might as well use it for something."
Serad packed everything up into a single bundle, before looking back at the Vase.
"Right, i'll have to keep this thing somewhere for now."
