Darren watches as Jeff, T.J. and Jason head to the rest of the group, the man tries to decide which of the boys he should take with him. 'Every single one of them look so handsome,' the man thinks to himself, 'I wish I could take all of 'em, but that would be to much.' Darren grumbles, trying hard to decide, to help him decide, the man opens every file of every child he had scanned. 'They all sound amazing,' he thinks to himself, 'all of them would be a perfect partner for life, but I can only have one. What to do,' he asks himself.
The man looks up from his phone and watches the group start to play, after a while he notices that his eyes seem to always fix themselves on Jeff. 'That boy,' Darren thinks to himself, 'he has something about himself that makes him special. I think I have found my future, I need to wait until I can get him alone. Until then, let's have some fun with the other kids.'
The man opens T.J.'s file, 'let's give this kid a Fox tail,' he thinks to himself and types into the App. After confirming the change he looks up to see what would happen, he notices the boy stop and grab the back of his Jeans, a painful or at least a discomfort expression on his face.
The other kids notice T.J. stop and start to act weird, “yo, T.J.,” a boy with red hair says, “what's up?”
“I... I dunno,” the 14-year-old says, “my Tailbone hurts all of a sudden. It feels as if it is pushing against my skin.”
“Maybe you are growing a tail,” a other boy says, grinning.
T.J. scowls at his friend, “don't be stupid,” he says, as he rubs the area through his jeans, “humans can't grow tails.”
Jeff too notices T.J.'s weird behavior, 'something tells me that something is very wrong.'
T.J. starts to groan in discomfort, “n-now my t-tailbone is pu-pushing against the inside of my j-jeans,” he winces, “it... it hurts.” Suddenly the boy lets out a yell when the back of his jeans tears and a huge fluffy Fox tail with brown fur and a white tip bursts out, the other kids jump back in shock.
“T-told you...,” the red head says.
T.J. reaches a shaky hand behind him and feels the tail, that had grown from his body, “n-not possible,” he says. The boy yanks at the tail, “it... it's real,” he says, “how... how is this possible?”
'I have a suspicion, but I dunno if I should tell him,' Jeff thinks to himself.
“Who cares,” a other boy says, sounding excited, “your tail looks so fluffy and cute, can I touch it?”
T.J. is taken aback, “y-you guys don't seem to find this weird,” he says, “um... sure John... go ahead.”
John, the boy with the red hair, walks over to T.J. and starts to stroke the boy's tail, “whoa... it's so soft!”
T.J. bites his lower lip as a moan escapes his mouth, “y-yeah... it... it sure is,” he says, “a-and sensitive too. Kinda feels good when you stroke it.”
John stops stroking the tail, “I wish I had a tail,” he says, “I would not care what others think. Heck I'd even be okay with having the head of an animal.”
The others all look at John, who seems to be around 10-years-old, “why would you want that,” Jeff asks.
John shrugs, “I just think I'd look cool and cute,” the boy says.
“What would your parents think,” T.J. asks, still starring at his tail, “I hope my parents don't get a shock when I get home tonight. How am I supposed to explain this?!”
“Just tell them it is a fake tail that you bought from a costume shop,” John suggests.
T.J. rolls his eyes, “and how am I supposed to hide it? It is to big to just stuff into a jeans, besides it'll feel uncomfortable!”
“There might be a way to make them think you always had a tail,” Jeff suddenly says.
All eyes turn to Jeff, “what? How,” they all ask.
Jeff looks around, he then lets out a sigh, “this might sound weird, but...,” he starts.
“Weirder than suddenly growing a freaking tail,” T.J. asks, “pfff... I doubt that. Just spill it already.”
Jeff again sigh, he then takes a deep breath and tells the group all about the Chronivac, that he used it to make himself younger.
T.J. has his head tilted, “did you...,” he starts asking.
Jeff looks at the boy, “no... I didn't do anything,” he says, “I have the Chronivac back at my house, on my computer. I don't know about an App version of the program, but maybe someone in the park has it on his or her phone.”
“WHO,” John shouts and starts to look around, “I wanna ask the person to give me a tail and head of an animal!”
The group look all at John and shake their heads, “at least one of us is excited,” T.J. says, his tail swishing behind him, “maaaaan.... this feels so weird!”
Jeff walks up to T.J. and puts an arm around him, “are you okay T.J.,” he asks.
T.J. looks at Jeff, “yeah... I'm fine,” he says, “I kinda like my tail, I'll get used to it, I am just still a little in shock. I hope I can find the program on my computer when I get home and make it so my family, friends, school... everyone thinks I always had a tail.”
Jeff nods, and smiles, “I am glad you seem to be okay with your new tail,” he says.
T.J. smiles back, his tail wagging a little, “hehe... having a tail is pretty cool,” he says, “and Foxes are my favorite animals, so... I am actually pretty happy!”
Everyone smiles, “we are happy for you, T.J.,” they say, “do you still want to play more, or are you done with soccer for today?”
Unaware to them, Darren is smiling to himself, 'so... this John kid wants a tail and head of an animal? I think I can help him with that,' he thinks with a grin.
