The male continued to thrust until he was once more locked in place by the engorged knot, and both he and Luke whined as they were tied. Luke couldn't see anything left that was still human, and she realized that being a dog, even the act of mating, was feeling more and more normal. It was hard to even picture what she had looked like as a human, her scent taking the place of a sound that had meant her identity.
A human came into the dressing area while they were still coupled, looking at them, then the torn clothing. He was obviously upset, and Luke could just manage to understand the sounds he made. "You idiots! The magic isn't supposed to be used this way! It looks like one of you put on the Great Dane costume and mounted the other - and that means the two of you are real animals! Great Danes for life!"
The two dogs watched him with perked ears, then finally pulled apart and licked each other. Luke was puzzled at her own calm acceptance. She and the boy were now normal dogs, destined to remain so for the rest of their lives. But that did not bother her in the least, and the male seemed perfectly content. She wondered if he remembered being human the way she did? It didn't matter. She was already letting human identity fade away.
