"What next? What next? Oh, I know what next!" huffed Gilda, superbly annoyed at Christina.
Before the young woman could do anything or the two other sisters react, the jealous witch made ropes shoot out of her fingers and they bound themselves to Christina, who was effectively tied to the floor. She grunted, bewildered at the magic and trying to accept the situation that was impossible, yet right before her very eyes. James was utterly terrified. He was naked and powerless. Literally powerless, because what could he do against magic and with only a cushion, right now used by his two hands to cover his groin?
"Ha!" shrieked Gilda. "That'll teach you to have eyes on the lover of a witch, you little shameless hussy!"
"Witch? Lover?" asked a dumbfounded Christina.
"No! She's lying! Please understand!" attempted to intervene James.
"Yes, witches. That is what you are. And believe me, you've provoked the wrong woman, you little strumpet! I'm not going to let myself feel inferior because of a petulant little coquette with no magical powers whatsoever like you!"
Her eyes shone with malevolence. James, Hilda and Matilda tried to stop her. James promised to be good and begged Gilda not to change Christina into something too awful. Hilda and Matilda enjoined Gilda to clemency, arguing that her ire was perhaps a bit too extreme. In the end, the two witches colluded with the jealous witch in a circle, whispering between each other and darting looks at their two prisoners. Christina screamed for help and James asked the witches to not be too mean. In the end, Matilda made a gag appear which muffled the poor girl's screams. However, the three old women seemed to reach a decision and Matilda rushed into another room, from which a conversation came out, as well as bursts of light and smoke. Gilda was smirking like a schoolyard bully at Christina and Hilda explained that a guest was going to arrive through a portal and "take care" of Christina. Hilda did seem more charitable as a person because she pinched the captive girl's cheek and said her transformation wouldn't be that bad and that she'd learn to love it. She would get a new papa and a new life. They'd all make sure her transformation would go smoothly. James could only stand there, absolutely worried about what would befall his poor unfortunate girlfriend. What did this all mean?
Then, different lights were seen from the other room, swirling and Matilda started talking to a male voice that answered her. It sounded jovial and the lights vanished. Then footsteps were heard approaching, while dread filled the two young mortals and a nasty glee filled the heart of Gilda. Soon, that pesky wooer would be gone for good!
