On the map one area caught your eye of interest. The Valley of the Nymphs as the map called it that this brief description of the areas on the back listing the areas called ‘a mixture of free-sprites and nature embodied’. From what you knew over nymphs from standard mythology you felt you had to check it out.
After reaching the area you were taken back by what awaited you. First of was the area itself as you had assumed ‘Valley’ was but a catchy name but you were actually staring into a genuine valley of considerable miles of distance and filled with segments of trees of various types, a beautiful and large river running through it though not in a straight line and with ponds or lakes neighbouring the river in select areas, the outer areas were even bordered by grassy mountain walls and to finish things there were many clear designed paths designed for visitors to travel over that maps couldn’t easily display and of course you noticed fellow visitors wandering along these paths.
But it was the other occupants of the valley that drew more of your attention as dancing about, running through the trees or flower fields, swimming in the water and even standing or seated to sing cheerful tunes were what were clearly nymphs in their natural environment while bearing all to see.
The tree-based nymphs had a greenish tone to their skin and hair colours of various petal shades. While nude all had signs of tiny branch twigs matching the types of trees they were either based or came.
The water nymphs were more otherworldly in that while solid looking it was also like they were bodies of water shaped into female human bodies complete with faded skin colours and those that were partly submerged in the waters seemingly vanishing into the water or actually merged with it.
The mountain nymphs had a greyish and greenish combination to their skin tone mixture and besides their advanced beauty the only extra feature were these flowers in their petal-coloured hair they shared with their forest cousins.
They weren’t limited to a single age-range either. Some nymphs were caring for tiny children while slightly older child nymphs were among the more playful ones running about. Heck you could swear there were nymphs in their 40s to 60s but that did nothing to ruin their beauty.
“Ah Hi their ma’m. You alone?” this young man in the park’s uniform called as he walked up to you. “Pretty much” You confess “But wow this valley is amazing”. “Just the valley itself or it’s inhabitancies?” the employee then asked. “The nymphs obviously... so beautiful and energetic. Makes me wish I had that” you admitted.
Your answer brought a smile to the employee “So what would you say about joining them?” he asked. “Huh? Oh of course I was planning on exploring through the paths” You assured. “No join them. Try the exhibit experience here” the employee corrected. “Experience?” You ask. “Mythical beings here aren’t merely staff. If visitors have interests in a being they can request to spend time as that being. Not really advertised on the maps but we here are required to explain” the staff member assured “So you interested then I can escort you to where each type of nymph is transformed you could say”.
