“WHAT THE-” Derrick suddenly called out. His yell waking Julie up and coursing her and their parents to rush to Derrick’s room. “Derrick, what’s the matter-” John started to ask only to be welcomed by Derrick having falling backwards onto his bed but more so the sight outside his seaview window.
Floating their just outside were a pair of mermaids waving at the family. Both sporting seashell bras with seaweed for straps. On the left side of their view was one of Japanese’s efficacies in terms of upper-human parts sporting a deep blue tail while her hair was cut into a bobcut hairstyle. The mermaid on the right was African efficacies with a vibrant green tail with her long hair tied in a flowing ponytail. Once it was apparent they had the whole family’s attention the two mermaids started showing off by swimming about among the local aquatic wildlife.
“Ah I see Mamiko and Lybia wasted no time in visiting you” the receptionist responded as she appeared. “How.... how are they swimming like that?” Sharon questioned as she pondered over how flexible the tails of the two mermaids were, for indeed they were moving in ways impossible to be costumes.
“Well you see we are more than a simple underwater resort. See we have developed here means of human transformations, for example as you’ve just witnessed” the receptionist continued. “But... you’re a new business aren’t you. Just opened?” John inquired. “*chuckle* only recently have bookings and openings to your hometown and neighbouring towns started. Truth be told the contest you won was for local testers to the area, not very first visitors” the receptionist assured.
Just then after Mamiko and Lybia had swam off another mermaid, just younger than Julie and sporting a bright silver tail but instead had seaweed wrapped around her upper chest swam up. One Derrick and Sharon noticed bore a slight resemblance to the receptionist with the pair waving to each other. “Ah yes. Let me introduce my daughter Jessica for the process while here is open to staff, staff families and guests".
“And by your daughter being a mermaid while you’re not. Does that mean one need not go in groups?” Julie guessed. “Indeed though we insist on not swimming beyond set areas lines” the receptionist agreed “So is anyone here in the mood of taking the plunge and being a mermaid or merman during your stay?”.
