One of the oldest surviving works of mainline earth-human literature is The Epic of Gilgamesh, dating from the Sumerian age. Among that story's most important themes is that human beings, even great heroes, don't get to be immortal. Sumerian goddess Inanna firmly endorsed this principle.
"Finally got around to it" she said with some irritation to Savannah.
"Chronivac problem." Savannah answered. "Gonna have to solve it with a Chronivac, but fortunately the company doesn't operate in this dimension."
"Damn right they don't" Innana answered, remembering the time she and a bunch of other deities have firmly squelched the Chronivac Corporation's attempt to open a branch. "They're going to try to bargain with you to let you use a Chronivac to create an antivirus in return for letting them set up a branch in this dimension. Let them do that, and you will face my wrath to a degree far exceeding anything Regina got. We clear?"
"We clear" said Savannah.
"She was scary" remarked Nancy after the goddess disappeared.
"Innana is a big pussy cat compared to some of the people you deal with in the sorcery business" replied her father. "Now we're going to go deal with interdimensional capitalists."

"See that big clunky model in the corner" remarked Aziza.
"Yeah."
"It's a transformed human. About fifty years ago, so long before Kylie. Probably the work of a previous holder of the Glendale curse."
"So are you going to change them back?"
"I probably should" Aziza replied "But I'm getting some bad vibes from this one, like there was a good reason they were transformed. Not all curse victims are good people."
