Greg tries to decide for a while, he then sighs, “listen Ty,” he then says, “the class is over in 10 minutes, and we still have two more classes ahead of us. May I take the time until after school is over to decide?”
Tyler smiles at Greg, “sure you can, bro,” he says, “I'll meet you here after school.”
Greg nods, he then turns to Mr. Osborne, “sir, would it be okay if I leave my Jeep here until school is over?”
The teacher thinks for a while, he then nods, “I see why not,” he says, “I'll let the next class know that this Jeep is off limits.”
Greg nods, “thanks, sir,” he says.
Greg spends the next four hours pondering what to do, on the one side: he knows that the Jeep is really his brother and is unsure what all the “upgrades” might do to Jeff in the end, on the other side: Greg WANTS his Jeep to be a looker and stand out from all the other vehicles, this would mean to stop thinking about the Jeep as Jeff, at least for the time until they transform Jeff back.
Greg grumbles, “I think it would be smart to stop worrying about Jeff,” he mumbles to himself, “he'll be fine, no matter what we'll do to him. For now he is nothing more than an ordinary Jeep... an annoying Jeep that is able to talk, but a Jeep none the less. Besides, if it gets to annoying, I can always ask Rick to check the system and have him fix it so that the radio does not turn on by itself.”
After the last class, Greg heads down to the school's chop-shop where Tyler is already waiting for him, “hey Ty,” Greg calls, “I made up my mind.”
“Let's hear it,” Tyler says.
“I would love to have the lightning bolts added,” Greg says, his eyes sparkling, “my Jeep would look so damn cool!”
Tyler smiles, “will do,” he says, “would you like to help me prep her for tomorrow? Mr. Osborne gave me the keys to the shop, in case you decided to have the details done, which would mean leaving the car overnight.”
