Ruben reached into the box to pick up a coin.
Magic wasn't real, he knew that, but these coins could be worth something to a collector he thought.
Ruben chose a coin and pulled it out of the box. It had an image of a donkey on it and a picture of a barn on the other side.
It was a nice enough coin alright, Ruben thought as he rubbed the images.
"These coins are stupid, I don't even know who came up with that dumb story, ha ha haaawww". Ruben froze. "Did I just braaayyww" he said, ending with another unhuman sound.
Slightly shaking with fear and panic, Ruben looked at the coin again and his heart sank. The image of the donkey had dissappeared. The coin was now blank on both sides...
Shocked Ruben quickly looked around, as he finally noticed that he wasn't in his basement anymore.
The ground was covered in straw, as Ruben found out he was now in some sort of barn. He could see the outside, where a big field was, surrounded by a fence.
He quickly ran outside not paying attention to the itching sensation on his ears or neck.
Ruben looked around to see if he could find something that resembled his home. "Where aaaam I?" he brayed as he could not find anything.
Suddenly he heard a sound, his ears turning towards the source. That noise came from the barn! Maybe there is someone there who can help me, Ruben thought as he hurried back inside.
He looked around the barn, looking for the source of the noise, as he passed a water trough. He quickly stopped and returned to the trough.
Something was wrong with his reflection....
Ruben looked at his own reflection. He finally noticed that he wasn't wearing any clothes and that his ears were now on the top of his head.
However, his ears were no longer that of a human, but that of a donkey!
"HEEE HAAAAWW" Ruben brayed in panic, as he reached for his new ears.
They were covered in grey fur, and once again picked up a sound. Ruben turned around to see a female donkey was walking freely through the barn.
Before he could interact however, Ruben felt a sting coming from the base of his spine. He turned his head around to see a tail growing just above his rear. Covered in grey fur as well with a black tassel at the end, Ruben now had a donkey tail.
The coins were real! How do I turn back!?! He thought.
He quickly glanced back at the coin in his hand, which was still blank on both sides...
Before he could investigate further, however the next changed became noticed...
