Like usual, the Christmas Edition of Animalia Magazine focused mainly on the "evolution" of the Christmas Holidays, the various different ways it was celebrated around the world (including the various different "incarnations" of Santa Claus), winter/holiday recipes, and arts and crafts for when you get stuck inside due to weather or other reasons.

One different article that was in Animalia Magazine was actually more like a sneak peek of the Animalia Colonies in Europe. Its primary focus was on Aeaea, the French Colony, and the Animalia Colony that was forming around MacDuff's Castle, though the last one was a bit less intentional than the others.
It was no secret that Aeaea was going to be inspired by Greek Mythology, but the discovery of ruins on the island that had been intended for the colony had slowed it down considerably, since the island was roughly halfway between Greece and Italy. After some analysis, it was determined that the ruins were meant for long-term habitation, so that ruled out the "Lost Legion" as a possible explanation. Of course, there were some idiots on the internet that claimed that the island was the mythical home of Circe, though it was generally accepted that it took place on a different island entirely.
For the French Colony (debate was still ongoing for the name), it was a bit more of a mixed bag of news. While some people of the nearby town weren't too happy with the Colony extending its reach into the town, others were more pragmatic and underwent conversion to not only restore/improve their overall health, but also to gain the strong, sexy bodies Animalians were reputed to have. Probably what attracted the most attention was another cross-species lesbian couple, who were now a Dog Animalian and a Skunk Animalian, since they had always wanted to open a "hot bathhouse" and the French Colony would allow that, though they would probably need some more male workers there.

Another different article talked about various "Christmas specials", which were mainly movies and popular TV shows that happened to release new episodes on Christmas. While some of them, such as A Christmas Story, were about people trying to celebrate Christmas and having all kinds of problems and obstacles getting in the way, others were more about trying to prevent or solve a problem that could potentially ruin Christmas celebrations.
