Leyna awoke feeling….. well, she wasn’t quite sure how to describe it. At first she thought she’d rolled herself up inside of her blankets but things just felt too new for that.
Her worry grew as she tried to flex her limbs only to find she didn’t seem to have any, leaving her feeling like a worm. That impression would only intensify as she tried to flex her trunk to try to throw the tight blanket that was both blinding and enveloping her off but the most she could summon was a bit of internal muscular tension that made her feel swollen and bloated.
“Okay, just breathe and try to figure this- I can’t breathe!” Leyna thought and squirmed in panic for a few seconds until she realized she didn’t seem to need to breath, let alone do it. She screamed internally as she felt the bed shift underneath her like the world’s biggest earthquake, which stopped it immediately.
“M-Mom? Is that you?” she heard a familiar voice say.
“Yes! Yes its me! Where are you?” Leyna thought as she squirmed to try to free herself and managed to finally get the tight blanket to….. peel back off of her head? The world was upside down so to her eyes she found herself looking across a vast plane of flesh and up towards-
