As Anna walked through the downtown streets in the cool evening air she noticed the people around her reacted to her presence very differently than what she was used to. Normally she'd get horny stares from a few random men as well as jealous looks from some women but all in all she didn't turn that many heads around. Just your usual, normal, fairly attractive young white woman.
Now that she was in Tyrell's skin apparently people had more divided, nonetheless more intense reactions. A few random passers by gave her unsavory glares and Anna wondered if she was experiencing racism as a young, very dark skinned black man with very pronounced African facial traits. She just wanted to take the Mask off right now to escape the unpleasantness but she quickly decided it's better if she doesn't transform in a public, crowded street. She then noticed that a few black people were also looking at her funny and was shocked when a tall, middle aged black man shouted "You homo!" at her while passing her by in a rush. "Oh, so that's what it was..." Anna thinks to herself as she looks at her reflection in a storefront window. It wasn't racism maybe, just as bad it was homophobia instead since she was wearing a pride flag bowtie and an equally colorful rainbow pin on her chest. She read the slogan on the pin since she didn't even pay attention to it before. It read "Queer and woke AF".
Her initial reaction was to cringe, but then she let out a short laugh. Both she and her boyfriend Josh were not really into politics and were mostly on the traditional end of things as it happens. She looked into her own face again reflected in the window and gingerly put her black fingers on each end of her colorful gay bowtie, contemplating on who she is and who she appeared to be presently. Was this a mistake? Did she really want to pretend to be Tyrell? She is a 28 year old woman with a boyfriend and a bartender job, Tyrell is a barely 18 year old (if not younger!) super woke progressive Gen-Z black boy who also happens to be a raging homosexual, likely a political activist too. She could almost feel Tyrell's thoughts inside her head, hazy as they were they confirmed her impressions of him in full. Anna shook her head to shrug off the intrusive and foreign thoughts and reminds herself to be careful not to wear this Mask longer than needed. She will just invite Josh out tomorrow, give him a good pranking and then remove the damn thing... and that will be the end of it!
