After re-swallowing last night's dinner, Mary takes clumsy, awkward steps down the stairs, not quite used to walking on hooved feet, finding it difficult to balance her significantly heavier body, but she makes it before too long and opens the rear door to the backyard.
Not only will nobody see her through her fence, but she hasn't mowed the lawn in some time. Plenty of food. With a bit of surprise, she finds herself dropping to all fours with ease, having an easier time balancing than on two legs. Just to test, she stands back up on her hind legs, managing to make it with only a slight wobble.
Then it's back to all fours again, and munching idly on the grass. It might just be the cow in her thinking, but it's the tastiest meal she's ever had.
