Laura watched as Travis now sprinted towards them, gazing at the teen she could tell he appeared flummoxed as he approached. Still, there was something about him that Laura found somewhat cute.
Catching his breath the teen now gazed at the trio before speaking. "Did I hear that right," he asked. "You own a set of cursed dice?"
Laura paled, stammering as she tried to think on her feet. How had he figured it out? Had they been so loud that they had revealed the secret. As she looked to answer, Travis held up his hand to stop her. "Look," he said. "I figured something was different with you three. One, I can tell something happened to your friends. They look a little different than when we got here."
"How can you tell," Anna asked. Travis furrowed his brow gazing at the cute Asian teen before answering. "Because I actually pay attention to things," he said. "Your clothes weren't so loose when we got here and you do look a bit younger. Plus, you acted a bit weird when I dropped off the pizza."
"Weird," Laura replied, a grumpy look crossing her face.
"Uh yeah sorry," Travis said meekly. "But you acted a lot different than most girls I know. It's gonna sound crazy but, when we talked you guys sound kinda old."
Laura, Kaitlin, and Anna now glanced between one another. Regaining their youth had at first been both a blessing and a curse. The idea of slowly descending further into childhood had frightened them. What none of them had realized was how out of place they sounded amongst actual teenagers. The teenage lingo of their youth was laughably outdated, if they couldn't fix this they would have issues fitting in amongst their new peers.
"So is that it," Travis asked. "Are those the magic dice?"
Laura snapped herself out of her musings, looking down at the pair of dice in her hand. One was connected to her now, while she couldn't be sure who was connected to the other one. "Um yeah," she replied.
"Listen," Travis stated. "Look, I know we just met but I want to help. Is there anything I can do?"
"Give us a minute," Anna exclaimed, stepping in between Laura and Travis as she now pulled her friends aside. "Anna what are you doing," Laura asked.
"Was gonna ask you the same thing," Anna grumbled. "That guy is totally flirting with you. And not for nothing, you're leading him on."
"I am not," Laura blushed.
"You kinda are Laura," Kaitlin stated. "You may not mean to but you are. This kid is totally crushing on you." Laura blushed, nervously glancing back at Travis before looking to her younger friends. Was she really crushing on this guy? She was technically old enough to be his mom, a fact Kaitlin now pointed out much to her chagrin.
"How can you even make it work Laura? If we fix this you'll end up being old enough to be his mom!"
"Thanks for that," Laura grumbled. Kaitlin shrugged, at this point she needed to be bluntly honest with her feiend.
"I'm not gonna get into Laura dating this guy but we should take his help," Anna stated. Laura and Kaitlin now balked as they gazed at the teen. "You can't be serious?"
"Just hear me out," she stated. "Look, the dice are still connected to us and still rolling. Laura's the only one even old enough to drive right now. What happens when these things roll again? How are we gonna get to the shop if none of us are even tall enough to reach the pedals?"
Laura and Kaitlin shuddered, the idea of becoming small, helpless children was frightening, yet it was a possibility all things considered. If they had Travis with them, would they at least be able to get where they needed in the morning? Looking between eachother and Travis the trio now tried to make a decision.
