Something wicked this way comes

added by Whos 21 years ago

Back at home, wierd stuff was happening. The pink fog had been floating through the air for many hours, roaming through homes, and people had become worried.

Brendon had talked to the neighbors earlier, trying to calm them down. Unfortunately a few of them had called the police. After a long talk with several deputies,
the cops had finally left. Now Brendon was just sitting out on the front porch, waiting for his father to return after his disappearance.

Almost all of the other families in the neigbhorhood were sitting on their porches while the sun began to set, some watching their kids play in the street.

The air was heavy with humidity, and real fog began to form. The haze in the air became think after a while. At first you couldn't see the homes that were way
down the street, and haze like this happened often during the summer. But as the day wore on, the fog became thicker, and the pink fog seemed to disappear from
sight.

But by now, Brendon could barely make out the house next to him, and the setting sun didn't help much. Brendon went inside to watch some television. He
grabbed a beer and some pretzels, turned on the tele, and all that was on was the news. He could hear voices from outside yelling for children to come home as he
flipped through the channels. But there was only news on, it was like there was some kind of emergency. He stopped on one channel and turned up the volume.
"...gs have descended upon most of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, and has caused many car accidents. Here you can see a live photo shot of a terrible car
accident on I-103."
In the video shot were several burning cars that had been thoroughly demolished.
"Meteorologists are dumbfounded as to where the sudden fog came from and all police stations are advising people to stay in their homes. The fog does appear to
be getting worse"

Right after the reporter had finished that saying the word, "worse," is when events really took a turn for the worse. A couple screams from outside entered into
Brendons home and assaulted his ears. Brendon jumped up to run out the door to see what was going on, but only half way there he fell to the floor in pain. He
rolled onto his side, to see the reporter on the television set coughing, obviously in pain herself.

The lights in the home had suddenly dimmed, as did all the lights in all of Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. Brendon picked himself up off the floor, clutching
his stomach, hearing the news reporter trying to carry on with her story. He hauled himself out the door in pain, hearing the screams again. The fog was so thick
now that he literally could not see 12 inches in front of him.

"Something was seriously wrong," he thought over and over in his mind.
