*"Michael? Michael? Where are you?"* You heard Saria's voice. You opened your eyes, and looked around, but you didn't see her anywhere.
*"Michael? Please answer me! I can't move my body. It feels like something else is moving me. Am I cursed?"*
"You're alright," you said aloud, but it wasn't your voice that spoke. Oh, it was definitely your lips that moved, and your throat that vibrated, but as you pushed yourself up to look around, you saw that the body you looked down upon was not the same one you had had for your first four years. It was the body of a 7-year old elven girl.
*"This is so weird,"* said Saria's voice again, which you realized wasn't external, but internal. Inside your own head *"It's like I'm a passenger on a cart, buy someone else is driving."*
"It's weirder for me," you said, still getting used to your new voice "I wonder what-"
You heard the door of the tavern open, and you hid behind one of the arches at the edge of the alleyway. Two humans exited, dragging something in a large bag. You had to shove your fist in your mouth to avoid screaming, as there wasn't any doubt that that was a body bag.
*"Can you do that thing you did to get us out of here again?"* Saria's voice said within your head *"I don't want them to find us!"*
"I don't know how I did that before," you whispered "I was scared, and it sort of just happened."
*"Can we at least try to sneak away?"* Saria asks *"I think there's some good handholds there, there and there, so I think we can get to the roof before they can catch us."*
"I didn't take gymnastics at school, Saria," you whispered
*"Hmm,"* She said *"This weird sharing bodies thing. Are you able to let me take over?"*
