Ryan got home from his jog and was greeted by his 12 year old son Matt or Matty as his dad called him.
“What’s that, Dad?” Matty asked pointing at the book his father had purchased on the way home from his jog.
“It’s a magic book!”
“Cool! Have you tried any of the spells out yet?”
“Not yet but how about we give one a try now?”
Ryan flipped open the book and scrolled through the pages until he came to one that immediately caught his attention.
“Like father, like son.”
“How about this one, Matty? It sounds like it could be fun. Maybe it will put some muscles on those little bones of yours and you can actually go the to gym with me for a change!”
It was honestly hard to believe Ryan and Matty were related at times. Ryan stood at a commanding 6’5 while his son was still waiting for a growth spurt and came in at a mere 5’ even. But that wasn’t where the differences stopped.
Matty was as small as they came. He was maybe 100 pounds soaking wet with no muscle mass whatsoever. His dad Ryan meanwhile was an absolute beefcake. After hitting puberty in high school, Ryan began lifting and was as massive as they came. His biceps alone were almost the size of his son’s waist.
Matty always wanted to be big like his dad but he was proving to be a late bloomer.
“You think it will make be big like you dad?” Matty asked raising his his frail arm and “flexing” his arm
“It might son, though it looks like it might only last a weeks time.”
“Let’s try it!”
Ryan read the strange incantation from the page of the book and then paused.
Ryan and Matty looked at one another waiting for something to happen.
“Maybe it’a not magic after all but was just some prank,” Ryan pondered as he looked down to make sure he had read the passage correctly.
“Wait, I feel weird Dad.”
Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit Matty. Then the years began hitting him like waves.
His limbs began stretching out as he gradually began growing taller. He quickly entered his teens and his features began to mature. His jawline became sharper as stubble began to appear and the roundness of his childlike fake felted away. As he continued to grow taller, his frail limbs started to expand with muscles coming to life.
“Dad look!” He said as his biceps began to grow. He paused a moment hearing his deeper voice for the first time.
Ryan watched in shock and awe as his son began to turn into a man before his eyes.
The transformation continued as Matty’a muscles grew too large for his shirt to hold any longer. As his shirt fell to the floor he caught a glimpse of the e pecs and and forming, muscles that became more defined as he seemed to enter his 20s.
As he continued to grow older, his muscles gained more definition with the cuts of his new body forming, Veins rippled to life on his arms which had become three times their size and now rivaled the massive biceps his dad had worked years to hone.
As the transformation came to an end, Matty’s face became more steely, with dimples and a defined Adams apple emerging,
When the transformation ended, Matty stood eye to eye with his dumbstruck dad.
“Holy shit, that spell didn’t just make you bigger, it gave you muscles as big as mine and made you just as old as me!”
Ryan reached into his gym bag and pulled out a bait of briefs like the ones he wears when competing,
“Put these on and I’ll get a pair for me. Then I’ll show you how to flex!”
As Matty took off his tight shorts his dad ran into the other room not knowing what was about to happen.
