Sarah looked over herself in the small cabins mirror one more time as Alexis put of the last of her clothes. She was amused with the immediate sigh of relief and the sound of Alexis flopping a chair afterwards. It had been a lot of clothes but that was Alexis own fault.
The twenty-two year old smiled as did the unpacking the easy way. "I wish all my things were unpacked." The twenty-one year old was amused and less worried now that she had a way to make herself older.
A faint knocking at the door and Sarah came out of the bathroom in time to see Alexis open the door. Two first year campers look back at the two Counselors. They look about to be in tears. . .oh the whole homesickness thing Alexis described. For the first two nights of camp, the Counselors get a lot of these knocks at the door and lose a fair amount of sleep.
"Come on in girls." Kelly and Susan come into the room and Sarah has a bit of amusement at the only identical twin girls at the camp. Both are nine year old fourth graders who just missed out on last year's camp cutoff.
Sarah hid a smile at a sudden thought. Maybe she can make the next two days a bit easier for her and Alexis. But how. . .?
