Morgan gets yelled at by her ghostly mom

added by O 8 months ago O Magic Ghost

Morgan sighed, splashing water on her face as she gazed at her battered visage. How had things gone so wrong?

She had planned so carefully, knowing what Fukushu was capable of and had failed so completely. Had she underestimated the kitsune? Katie, her mother, was the only one that had successfully stood toe to toe with him. Still, she was stronger than nearly any magical being in existence. Morgan's strength should have easily overwhelmed him. Somehow though, she had lost.

Morgan's only conciliation was escaping with her apprentice in tow. Rick, of course, had questioned her. The teen wondering why she would go through all of this just to be soundly defeated. He questioned her now, he was frightened about what was going to happen next. Honestly Morgan couldn't blame him, blinding Akira had unleashed the fury of the nine tailed kitsune. Things couldn't possible get any worse.

"MORGAN O'TOOLE CARLSON!"

"Mommy," Morgan asked, startled to hear the voice of her mother Kellie. A chill running down her spine at the anger the voice projected.

"Morgan O'Toole Carlson get out her right now," the voice bellowed. "You have alot of explaining to do young lady! What were you thinking blinding Akira?!"

Morgan groaned, luck was certainly not on her side today. Somehow her mother had tracked her to her location. "Mommy what are you doing her," she called.

"Trying to talk to you for one," Kellie replied. "I already spoke with Yuriko. How could you do that to Akira and why would you challenge the new Catalyst? You know better than that Morgan! What were you thinking?"

"Its complicated," Morgan grumbled, drying her face. "Where are you mommy? Are you alone?"

"I think I'm in your living room," Kellie replied. "Is this where you're living? Morgan this place is a mess!"

"I haven't had a chance to clean mommy I've been busy," Morgan sighed. "And if you talked with Yuriko you know why I did what I did. They killed Evan!"

"So that's your solution revenge," Kellie exclaimed. "I know damn well I taught you better than that. I'm sorry about Evan but he made his own choices now get out here now young lady!" Morgan groaned, her shoulders slumping as she took a last glance in the mirror. It amazed her to an extent that even though she was a grown, middle aged woman the sound of her ghostly mother yelling at her made her feel like a child. Trudging out of the bathroom, the lycan sorceress now gazed at her ghostly mother with sullen eyes.

Kellie now floated in Morgan's sanctuary. The ethereal being looking as she had in life. Turning towards her daughter, the ghost gasped as she saw how hurt she was. "Oh my god Morgan."

"I've looked worse mommy," Morgan grumbled. The raven haired sorceress now limping to a chair that she collapsed into. "And I don't know why you're surprised. This is what the new Catalysts friend Fukushu did."

Kellie said nothing, the ghost anxiously studying her daughter. Morgan had been beaten severely, her face bloodied and bruised from her confrontation with Fukushu. "Hush," Kellie said softly. "Just stay still while I clean you up."

"Clean me up," Morgan replied. "How! You're a ghost mommy. How can you clean me up. Also I'm not some little girl that needs her mother to put a band aid on a skinned knee!" Kellie simply shock her head, a look of mirth crossing her ghostly face as she gazed at her daughter.

"Oh look who's so smart," she replied impishly. "Yes I'm a ghost but that doesn't I can't help." Morgan now watched as her mother began to concentrate, a towel now seeming to levitate before the duo. Kellie now ran the towel under some warm water, useing it to clean Morgan's face as the sorceress winced.

"And it doesn't matter how old you are you're still my little girl. "

"Thanks," Morgan grumbled. Mother and daughter were now silent, the ghost of Kellie now tending to her injured daughter, much to Morgan's embarrassment. "This is ridiculous," Morgan grumbled. "I am Morgan Lefay. The most powerful sorceress in all of existence! I don't need...OUCH!"

"Sorry," Kellie replied meekly. Morgan frowned, folding her arms across her chest as her mother continued to tend to her wounds.

"So," Kellie asked quietly. "Care to tell me your side of the story?"

"I'm pretty sure you already know mommy," Morgan grumbled. "The Normal resurrected me, the Catalyst killed Evan, I sought revenge against Fukushu, what more is their to say?"

"I want to know why," Kellie said softly. "I know what happened, but you haven't told anyone why you did it. And don't tell me it's because your Morgan Lefay."

"But I am!"

"Why because your hair is darker," Kellie stated. "Thats a cop out Morgan and you know it. We've talked about this before, your darkside. You don't think I don't remember how scared it made you?"

"I was a child mommy," Morgan scoffed. "A scared little girl who discovered she was adopted and was the most powerful evil sorceress known to man. All I've done is embrace who I am supposed to be."

"Is that so," Kellie stated. "So tell me? Who is Morgan Lefay then?"

Morgan balked, she was aware of the what she was but her memories of her actions had been wiped away. The spell that had caused her to relive her life from scratch had completely eliminated any trace of the old Morgan. All Morgan had was the memories of her second life, a life where she had come to terms with the darkness within her. Morgan's memories and experiences were positive now, surrounded by friends, cared for by two loving and protective mothers.

"You can't can you," Kellie said softly. "All the old stories of Morgan Lefay are just that, stories. It's not who you are is it?"

"No," Morgan replied bitterly, the lycan sorceress sniffing as she lowered her head. "So now what? I've already done so much damage. Hurt Akira, hurt Yuriko, this new Catalyst, even unleashed a hateful apprentice on the world. How do I make amends for that mommy?"

"I wish I had an easy answer Morgan," Kellie said sadly. "But it will take time. However long it takes though I'll be here with you."

"Wait how?"

"I'm your mother silly," Kellie smiled. "And whatever magic you and the Catalyst used is letting me stay. Until we can fix this I'm here for you."

"I'm sorry."

"Dont be," Kellie smiled. "You've always been the most important thing in my life or well, more like unlike now. Just know I'll be here for you Morgan."

"Thank you mommy," Morgan sniffed. Kellie simply smiled, holding up her ghostly hand as she tried to touch her daughters cheek. For the foreseeable future she would help guide her daughter into doing what was right.
