Bruno swam for hours. He knew that the neighbors were away on a cruise for a week. Bruno had seen Chaz and his boyfriend Johnny when they were leaving, and overheard them saying they had a full day, and wouldn't be home until night.
It was afternoon when Bruno climbed out of the pool. He didn't know if it was the stolen swimsuit or illicitly swimming in the neighbors pool without permission, but he had felt super energetic, and had swum twice as long as usual. He stretched and yawned, and lay down in the sun on the nearest chaise lounge, and fell asleep.
"Wakey, wakey, Chad," said Chaz giving a brotherly twist to the sleeper's Speedo clad crotch.
"Yeow!" Bruno said sitting up.
He stared at his reflection in the house windows. It has been daylight when he laydown facing the house. The outdoor lights automatically turned on at Sunset. Bruno stared and blinked. He looked just like Chad. Bruno stood up. He was taller than he had been. He was Chad.
Chaz said, "Johnny's bringing the pizza, some inside there's enough for all of us. I didn't think you'd be home until the folks got back."
Bruno just nodded, and followed Chaz inside.
Johnny was taking a bite of a slice of pizza when Chaz and a guy who looked exactly like Chad entered.
"Chad-?" Johnny said dropping his pizza. Flustered, he picked it, and muttered, "pizza burn. Hotter than I expected."
Chaz said, "Grab a slice, bro. Want lemonade, water, milk or soda? You're too young for beer."
Bruno just grabbed a slice. He was afraid he'd still sound like Bruno and ruin the dream.
