"What the hell are she doing here?" a familiar voice rang out.
"Oh great." Bill said. Just the perfect time for Tom to finally show up.
"See, this is just what I'm trying to avoid." Gloria said, as if this were all Bill's fault.
"What are you talking to her for, Bill? You know how she makes me feel" Tom said.
"I'm not talking to her."
"Sure looks like you are."
"She's talking to me. I'm not talking to her. You know I would never choose this." Bill countered.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry" Tom replied.
"You apologize to him? You apologize to HIM but not to ME?" Gloria shouted.
"Gloria, listen. We've been through this song and dance too many times. We've had this argument too many times. We're over. We're done. Please let this ene" Tom said with exasperation in his voice.
"You tell her, Tom." Bill said.
"Shut up, Bill!" Gloria yelled.
"Sorry. I'll shut up." Bill said.
"At least Bill has a little bit of sense here to SHUT UP. Tom, we can fix this! I have forgiven you. If you can forgive me, we can work this out!"
"You forgive me? You forgive *ME*? Gloria, this is the problem exactly. We can't go on like this."
Bill could see the anger building in Gloria's face. But more than that, he could see a green glow erupting from her hand. From the stone!
"What the hell..." Bill said.
But before Bill could point anything out, Gloria erupted with a statement that would have grave consequences.
1. "I wish I had dated Bill instead!"
2. "I wish you and Bill would just become the old married couple you guys act like!
3. "I wish you and Bill could just feel the pain I feel!"
