Amy walked behind Jake, her human, as she headed back toward her apartment. She did have things to do. As much as she wanted to spend the whole day out, she had things to do. She hoped that she'd tired the human out, so maybe she could get some work done. It was hard to be mad at him though...he was so sweet.
She passed by a yard, where a Korean kiddie was yipping gently, and running around. That made Jake bark back at her. Both looked particularly happy at the connection, before a male came out of the house. "Kira....quiet," he ordered. He looked at Amy. "Sorry...I just got her, and she's a bit excitable."
"The little ones will be that way..." Amy said. "Jake was like that at that age. He's still excitable sometimes...You only have a few months before she'll be an adult. Imagine if dogs grew up that fast," she giggled. "If I had a puppy today, they'd practically be in high school by their first birthday."
"You seem to know a lot about humans."
"Raised Jake since he was a kiddie. And my parents had a human when I was growing up. She lived almost twenty years..." Amy said.
"Well, any advice for me...she's driving me out of my mind...I didn't get any sleep last night, the neighbors are complaining..."
"Have you tried a clock wrapped in a towel? That worked for Jake. I mean.." Suddenly, Amy's phone rang. "One sec..." She answered. "Hey, Tom...Tom....calm down....Chronowhat? I can't understand you. You aren't making any sense. Where are you? I'm coming right over. Don't move." She paused. "Sorry...umm.."
"Brandon."
"My pup brother is really freaking out about something...I need to go. Good luck with your human." She looked down at Jake. "Come on, boy."
