“We should leave.” Hissed Susan as Tim nodded his head as both slithered away from the still fucking catman.
The sports bar was totally wrecked, with bodies and blood all over the place, tables, and chairs where smashed and in the distance both of them could hear screams and gunfire.
Both moved past their table to see that somehow it remained untouched, even the glasses where in their original positions.
“Wait…” ordered Susan as Tim stopped and turned to see his mate grab her purse which was still hanging over the back of her chair. The purse looked laughable tiny now that she had grown, that is when both of them really noticed how much bigger they had become. The very top of Tim’s head was only an inch or two from the ceiling and their legs now tails stretched out a good seven feet behind them.
Susan put the purse over her shoulder, but the purse was in her armpit now which clearly annoyed her. It was kind of funny, this snake woman trying to have a human purse or maybe it was a sign of that lingering human thoughts left behind by the virus.
“Here.” said Tim as he pulled a belt off from a nearby dead man. Susan tied the purse around the belt before putting it on, it just barely fit but it worked.
They slithered toward the exit only to find that they didn’t have to, the mostly ordainment rode iron fence designed to keep the eating area and the outside sidewalk apart had been torn to shreds. With that they slithered out into the noon day sun as the sound of battle came from in front of them and more animal sounds came from behind them. They moved past a kangaroo man currently going to town on bear woman both of them moaning each other names as they mated in public without a care.
They moved past a crushed police cruiser wondering for a moment what could have possibly done that, then as they passed another shop they saw a live broadcast from only a few blocks ahead showing what looked like a walking elephant man which had to be at least 3 stories tall doing battle with police forces. The officers where clearly losing, and it only got worse when a group of wolf and cat like hybrids one even with pink fur rushed the cops who had been focused on the elephant. The camera feed was cut as the crew was taken returning to the studio which showed a very scared looking woman.
“Well…we have gotten word that the governor has ordered a call up of the national guard and that the regular military has also been called and will be deploying soon.” Said the anchor woman. "From what the CDC has managed to figure out so far, the virus can only be spread by the exchange of fluids, simply touching one or a scratch can not infect you. A bite, sexual fluids or something as simple as a kiss can spread the virus. We are still trying to figure out everything but in the mean time remain calm and if you are infected stay inside and call the number below to report."
The sound of a man screaming from above caused both to stop as a man in his 30s fell from above and landed in a large bush. Blood pouring from a large wound in his shoulder.
“Spread the gift.” Said a new voice as both looked up to see a woman with a bird like face with blood dripping from a beak like mouth and large red feathered wings sitting on a nearby telephone pole, her sharp talons digging into the wood. Her body was covered with feathers but one could still make out the outline of the female form including small but prominent breasts.
“HELP.” Said the man as he tried to craw away.
It was strange, both of you could see it, coming off the man was a kind of smoky after image, but it was his scent. It began to shift from human to another creature as his back broke as he began to expand outwards as the virus began to turn him.
Both you, Susan and the bird woman watched as a pair of massive antlers began to grow from the top of his head as he grew both in size and muscles. His legs became thinker and stronger as his cloths broke apart. When it was over a very large, larger than Tim or Susan a deer man stood where the human had once been. His antlers where massive and clearly capable of hurting someone.
The new deer man breathed in the scent before eyeing the two snakes and the bird woman, eyeing them. Before he was human, a prey something to eat or turn but now he was becoming like them and he wasn’t an enemy anymore. Maybe in the future he would attempt to kill you or you him but not now. The goals before you all was to spread the gift, to find food and a home, and reproduce and humans where the source of food and people to spread the gift to.
“Thanks.” Said the man to the bird woman who nodded her head and flew away.
“What now?” inquired Susan
