Eric, Dean, Max and Tyler look at each other, even though they seem excited, they also seem to have doubts.
Greg notices this, he tilts his head, “what is wrong, guys,” he asks, “it would be so cool!”
“Don't get us wrong, Greg,” Max says, “we ARE excited and curious, we really would love to become a mix of human and our favorite animals... I guess we'd be some kind of Hybrids? Anyway... we are also a little scared, what if something goes wrong?”
“Like what,” Greg asks.
“Well,” Eric says, “like... what if we become stuck in our new forms? We would be unable to return to our families... we'd be captured and experimented on... .”
Dean nods, “yeah,” he says, “or, what if the animal instincts or in other words: what if the animal part of our minds takes over? Dominates our minds?” He looks at his friends, “I would not be keen to end up as someone's... meal...,” he looks at Eric, “cats eat birds, you know... .”
Eric's eyes widen, “I'd NEVER....,” he starts.
“Kill and eat me,” Dean asks, “you say that now, but who knows if you'd be still yourself once you become a Hybrid.”
Greg thinks about what his friends are saying, he understands their worries, “I understand,” he says, “but I don't think that that'll be an issue. You see, we can set the percentage of both minds so that the animal side is not that dominant. We'd have the instincts of the animal we become, but as long as the human mind is dominant we'll be in control.”
The others think about it, “that'll work... I guess,” Max says, the others nod.
“Also, we could set the Chronivac, so that if we should get stuck as Hybrids or decide to permanently stay the way we are, the program will automatically alter the reality so that everyone except us would think we have always been Hybrids.”
The other think about Greg's suggestion, “that'll work,” Eric says.
“Yeah,” Dean replies, “hehe... I already have the longing to run around naked, even though I am not my bird-self yet,” he adds with a blush.
The others chuckle, “hehe... you are not the only one,” Max says, “fuck... that sounds so gay!”
All of them laugh, “I don't think we'll become gay,” Greg says, “BUT I can't promise not to pounce one of your cute butts once I'm a Lizard-boy!”
“Don't. You. DARE,” the others say, Greg just laughs.
“Whoa, guys,” he says, “chill, will you? It was just a joke!”
“We know,” the others say, then Max grins, “besides: wolves are pretty fast, MAYBE I'll be the one who pounces YOU first!”
“I warn you, Max,” Greg says, “you better be a “good boy” and don't do ANYTHING you'll regret!”
“WOOF,” Max says, all of them laugh.
“So,” Greg says, after they have calmed down, “do you really don't want to do this? Or do you want to do it?”
