You reach a bowl of fruits and nuts and start to munch a bit. You never realized how tasty those things were before. Maybe there is something to the vegetarian diet after all. Easier to follow when you are a monkey, that's for sure. You then spot more monkeys and apes. More than before. There are more men walking in and after a while, more apes and monkeys make their apparition. A couple of gay men appeared, strolling leisurely, and a short while later, there was a bonobo chimp couple you are certain was not there before happily going at it, as if they were the only ones in the world. Well, bonobo chimps are all peace and love style, and you ponder that if humans were more like them, than the world would be a better place. You then reflect that if the entirety of humanity were apes and monkeys, then the world as a whole would be better, even if some transformed people might regret cool things like fast food, series or of course the internet at first. But after a few generations, no one would remember those and thus be at peace. You then realize that your thoughts are... strange. How can a monkey like you know so much about humans, let alone reflect upon on their condition? You're not a human. You cannot be because you are a monkey. It's clear from your very own body. You can run and shriek and climb and swing and use a tail like no human can. Then you see some chimps grumbling at each other and you just observe them. Chimps really think too highly of themselves. Your species can climb the highest trees, swing from a tail and are much more peaceful than violent chimps who assume too much of themselves. You go back to having fun climbing trees until the sky goes dark.
Then, a massive amount of food is deposited. Ripe fruits, plenty of nuts and even some cake and bread! You all rush to get a share of the yummy bounty. As you are all gorging on this amazing feast, humans come and seize you in nets and collars attached to rods and force you into cages. You all shriek, unhappy and terrified at what will happen to you. The transport is scary but you quickly come to realize that you are just let loose in another enclosure. And this one looks more... permanent. Less space but more to see. More tall trees perfectly adapted to your natural way of life. A real suiting habitat. Even better, there are members of your own species! As you climb a branch to check the limits of your new territory, you see other enclosures with the different species of monkeys and apes, each with their own kind. You wonder if you could make signs to them, out of sheer curiosity. This cage has everything for you, though. A gurgling stream, lush foliage, food, plenty of materials to make nests and everything to live a happy life. A happy monkey life and as long as you have a warm bed and full belly, you don't see what you could need. Best of all, there are no predators here. You even have new friends to make. You also get an almost daily show of visitors, funny bipeds to stare at as much as they do you. They have funny colors on their furs and some look cute, while others just look plain stupid. It's an entertaining show to see though, and day after day everything melts in one long line of nice times. You even try to make the newcomers feel welcome by showing them how pleasant life is as a monkey by setting an example, happily having fun amongst leaves and branches.
