"let's stay home," Max said, "I want to 'spruce' this place up" he then touched the TV and watched as it turned toon. "I like the sounds of that," Sammy said. they then proceeded to 'redecorate' the apartment. it wasn't that large when they started but now it defied the physical space of the apartment building, it was now 20 thousand acres with the actual apartment parts barely making a spec in it. the windows and doors were now connected to rocks and trees with the front door leading to a temple. the beige walls were now gone replaced with a large open space filled with trees. the TV now rested on a large moss-covered rock with carved-out holes for DVDs and other things. the once carpeted floor turned to dirt with several plants coming up to their knees in some places.
the coffee table turned into a large log that was carved at the top allowing anything to be set on it. the lights had become string lights that gave a kind of size to the main apartment area. the once small kitchen area was now on top of a large tree which had 2 ways of getting there a long winding staircase or one of the several vines hanging from the tree that were 100 feet in the air (4 times that of a gym climbing rope). the ropes themselves were like rubber one good tug and you launched right up to the kitchen like a slingshot. the kitchen itself had changed drastically.
the once small counter-top now stretched three-fourths of the way of the massive tree the sink changed to rock with the faucet remaining relatively the same. the refrigerator was now covered in wood paneling and filled with several different foods but mostly fruit and vegetables. Several log-shaped stools appeared along the width of the counter. the room doors were actually where they were originally from, however, the doors were like gateways to other parts of the jungle that was once a small apartment. the bathroom was located 16 miles away from the main living area. like the main area, the walls were now gone showing more jungle.
the only thing that didn't change was the already toon bamboo shower, however, it was slightly redundant as there was a large waterfall less than a mile away with a pool of water large enough for several toons could swim in it easily, it was 9 feet deep at the center and 45 feet wide. the toilet remained the same just becoming toon. the bathroom hook now was a cut tree branch with an African-printed towel on it. the bathroom counter was now solid rock with a faucet in over the circular indentation with a drain at the bottom. a tree was hugging the rock and tangled in its branches was the bathroom mirror.
Sally and Milly had identical bedrooms with only their personal experiences making the difference. now the bedroom doors led to 2 different parts of the forest 20 miles east and west of the main area. the beds themselves grew to Alaskan king beds as both turned a romantic red that seemed to fit with the massive jungle they were now in. max's window was now attached to a large tree and Sammy's window was attached to the base o a cliff that was perfect for rock climbing. the shelves and table in Sammy's room became carved-out holes in the cliff wall with a wooden stump for a chair, for max's room it was instead carved out of a large tree. each door except for the main one was now carved wood, Sammy's door gained a gorilla doing a double bicep pose with steam coming off of it, above the gorilla said Sammy, and below was the word Heatwave. Max's door depicted a gorilla doing the thinker pose with the word Max above it and Kong below it. the bathroom door now depicted a waterfall and no words over it.
"Well, I got to admit I did not expect this" Max said gesturing to the large cartoon jungle and the doorways. "yeah not that I'm complaining. I mean we could just stay in here forever if we wanted to" Sammy replied. "yeah but I think we would get pretty bored staying in here" he said before more changes happened. the currently impossible high ceiling vanished giving the rain forest an accrual sky with a sun in the exact place as the sun outside the apartment. next was the wind a gentle breeze came through every now and then. a pair of cartoon African grey parrots landed on a nearby tree as a pair of cartoon elephants walked behind the temple leading to the outside world. "well would you look at that we've got a real rain forest to feel to this place don't we. anyway I gotta go and use the restroom see ya" max said before going through the door. "yeah I'm going to get a snack and then watch something" Sammy said before he tugged on a vine and was launched up to the kitchen. once he got his hot dogs chips he held them with his tight hand perfectly and used his other 3 limbs to slide back down the vine. he then sat down and turned the TV back on. "-at's right Alex we are here at the zoo where a person has just turned into a toon. unfortunately, we did not see the toon change because they were in the restroom when it happened. but we have found out that this toon is..."
