As it turned out Mr Helsing’s visitors were a pair of Caucasian girls. Sisters he had to guess based on the apparent age difference yet similar faces.
The older of the two appeared to be maybe 15, long but neat dark-brown hair, very fashionably dressed in a trendy crop-top missing it’s right shoulder and matching short-skirt and handbag. A display allowing Helsing to guess from her build she might be a cheerleader at school by her build.
The younger of the two looked to be about 11, messy-chin length light brown hair only partly covered by her forward facing baseball cap, even her choice of clothing consisting of a sleeveless jacket over a t-shirt and knee-length shorts with trainers gave Helsing the impression she was more of a Tomboy. More so over her style of backpack.
“Oh... sorry are you the clerk?” the younger girl asked upon seeing Mr Helsing. “Clerk and owner. Van Helsing my kind girl” Mr Helsing greeted. “Oh like that vampire hunter from many Dracula stories” the younger girl chirped. “Actually no. Van is my given while Helsing is my surname” Mr Helsing assured. “Sorry sir. Laura here is a bit too into useless books like that” the older sister ‘apologised’. “Oh it’s no issue and frankly I Personally think it good youngsters help preserve such literature” Mr Helsing returned with a chuckle.
“Now shouldn’t you girls be in school? Or at least on your way?” Mr Helsing then inquired in worry. “It’s early June. Most if not all schools are closed for Holidays” the older girl answered. “Sorry girls. Terms dates are still a bit jumbled to me following my travels where I collected my stock before opening this shop” Mr Helsing apologised before asking “So what are you looking for here today?”. “Ask Laura. She was the one dragging me in here after something caught her attention” the older girl answered. “Sonia don’t be so nasty” Laura snapped.
“Well then in that case, let’s go over what caught your eye Laura” Mr Helsing kindly suggested. “Sure thing” Laura agreed before revealing what caught her interest in the shop:
