Snow reclined in her basket regally. Once it became obvious she was pregnant, Tyonna began to dote on her more, including making a basket for Snow to travel in, rather than curling up on Tyonna’s lap. Snow wasn’t pleased to be pregnant, but she tried to look on the bright side. If she had to be pregnant, at least it was from one of the finest tomcats available. The palace cats had flawless pedigrees.
She wasn’t quite sure how far along she was, given that she had lost track of how many days they had been on the road. But she was most definitely heavily pregnant. Snow didn’t know anything about cat pregnancies, but she had a feeling she was nearing the end of hers. Her belly was distended and large, her nipples were prominent and pink, and she felt too lazy and fat to move around much.
Tyonna had actually been the one to realize Snow was pregnant. Snow had just been assuming she was gaining weight. She hadn’t thought of a pregnancy, despite recalling very well the excellent sex she’d had before fleeing.
The lid of Snow’s basket was lifted. Snow looked up at Tyonna. Tyonna smiled at her and placed a piece of fish in the basket. Snow meowed her thanks. Tyonna scratched Snow’s head, making her purr.
“Oh, beautiful lady Snow,” Tyonna cooed. “I hope you do not give birth until after we have arrived at our destination. Traveling with kittens will be difficult.” Snow agreed. Unfortunately, by the time Tyonna had realized Snow was pregnant, it was too late for her to use magic to affect Snow’s pregnancy. Whether Snow gave birth before they arrived or not was in the hands of fate.
