Stacy Neucomb had stayed back at the end of her Mythology class to straighten up some of the reference books. Mythology was her favorite class and she wished she could be a Mythic. There was a special Mythic she wanted to be but she was Human as plainly stated on her student ID under the species category. It was no use dwelling on what she couldn't be.
Just as she finished straightening the books Stacy saw one, she hadn't seen before. It was laying on the back counter opened. She was curious about what it was so she went back to see it. As she approached it she recognized the picture on the page it was open to. She knew it was from Modern Mythology from a few games. It was a Drider. The top half that of a Drow or Dark Elf and the bottom half a spider. A Drider was cursed by the Drow spider goddess Lolth to be that way.
Stacy thought that the book looked extremely old so she wondered why a mythical creature from modern times in it. The writing around the picture was done in Greek letters but she didn't know what language it was in. The book seemed to be calling to her and she reached out and touched the picture of the Drider. When she did a blue glow emanated from the book. Stacy barely got out an audible gasp before the glow completely covered her and made her clothes disappear.
Almost immediately she felt such a strong tingle throughout her body that she lost consciousness. Therefore, she did not feel her body changing. Her short brown hair growing to mid-back and changed to pure white. Her skin became charcoal gray and her eyes changed from green to red. Her ears elongated and became pointed. From her waist down her skin became black and her legs split into fourths and became the legs of a spider while her butt swelled out behind her becoming the abdomen of a spider.
And then her breasts flattened into male pectorals. And her jawline became slightly more angular and masculine looking.
And in her abdomen she grew a pair of palps-a male spider's genitals.

Stacy felt someone gently shaking her. She opened her eyes only to find that she was seeing her surroundings in differing shades of gray. She reached a hand up to her eyes and felt some type of goggles over her eyes. She removed them and let out an ear splitting shriek as the light hurt her eyes. She should have known better than that as she had already figured that she was a Drider. She could feel her eight legs and large abdomen. She quickly put the goggles back on and waited for the pain to subside before opening her eyes again. "Please don't do that again" she heard a voice say. She recognized it as belonging to Dawn.
"You won't believe what happened to me Dawn" Stacy said, then held her hand over her mouth. For her voice was different-still high, but not feminine. A male tenor voice.
"I think we will" Dawn said sighing a little.
