Rebecca and Jessie teamed up to design Jack's costume down to the last detail. They even recruited their mothers to the task after Rebecca explained to her Mum the circumstances of Jack's bet with Jessie. Rebecca organised a a Netflix session for Angela and Matilda (her own Mum) where they watched several episodes of Wednesday to determine Jack's target look. The next week proved to be a real bonding session for the women of the street.
Mrs Smith was a former make-up artist and provided a old wig which the girls styled and dyed to match the hairstyle of Enid. Angela provided shapewear so that Jack's figure would be as feminised as possible. Mrs Smith even produced a lingerie set of bra, panties and full slip of a matching colour to Jack's dress. She admitted it had been bought new at Victoria's secret. Mrs Smith also volunteered to do Jack's makeup before the party.
Jessie's idea of becoming Morticia was discussed but after watching Wednesday, Angela decided the whole family would be involved. She would be Morticia and Brendan would be Gomez and Aaron would be Pugsley. Jessie was relegated to become Principal Weems - well she had made herself tall. With only a few days until the party it was all hands on board to get everyone's costumes ready.
Jack was very aware of the collusion of the girls and tried to ignore what was happening. He was still hoping that he might get a last minute reprieve. He regretted that he was of a slim build. He actually spent as much time as possible that week pumping weights in the garage. He was recruited to help set up the Smith's back yard in preparation for the party. As he helped set up the bar he was gently teased by Mr Smith who had heard about Jack's costume.
Jessie had tried to explain to the other women about her magical ring and how it would help Jack fit his costume better. None of them seemed to understand what she meant, but they agreed Jack should wear the ring. Jessie was given the task of selecting the jewellery for "Enid"
