Andy was riding high as he listened to the applause. He had just turned an entire cheerleading squad into the school mascots, border collies.
Technically Jenny had done it since she was working the Chronivac, but Andy had designed the trick and magic is mostly design and showmanship anyways.
Natalie was enjoying seeing Sasha as the bitch she always said she was. Meanwhile, Jenny was adjusting the chronivac settings in the back making sure the squad was well trained and obedient.
The squad walked around the stage, still wearing doggie cheer uniforms like some people would buy for their dogs during Halloween or big games.
Once the cheering died down, Andy pulled a while from his pocket, blew it. At the shrill call, the dogs lined up on stage. All 12 lined up. Andy then gave 2 short notes and they leaned back on their hind legs.
Natalie pushed the platform to the back while we was doing this and returned with a carton. From within she pulled out a hoop. Upon giving more whistles the dogs began to run and jump through the hoop. After the first few made it threw, Natalie raised the hoop higher, and the dogs continued to leap through it.
Once that was done, Natalie took out a ball and tossed it. One of the dogs bopped it with her head, sending it up again. As it came down another dog bopped it. Natalie kept tossing balls and they kept passing it back and forth. Soon the 12 dogs were juggling 10 balls.
The was applause for the tricks. Finally Andy gave 3 whistles. The dogs let the balls hit the floor and picked them up. Each dog went up to the carton and jumped up so their front legs were on the edge. They would drop the ball and the scuttle off the stage.
Andy turned back towards the audience. "As you can see, your college now has new mascots to entertain during the halftime show. You will need a new cheer team however. Try out will be Thursday at 3."
There were chuckles from the crowd. Andy smiled. "For now though, on to my next trick!"
