"I really don't want to live out my life as a woman." Kain said refusing to accept 'Katie' as his name.
"Like most others young mistress. Simply say the words and your original form can be restored, or another if you so wish..." the Genie smiled.
You said the curse was that, "Whoever dares to use this lamp will be transformed into well developed versions of what they would have been if they were born female."
"That is correct soon to be master."
"And was that curse a wish that someone made"
"The third wish I granted."
"So you're telling me someone made a genie lamp with a genie in it, then they made two wishes and screwed it up for everyone else?!?!"
"Yes, he performed the ritual to enslave me to this vessel, granting wishes, until the end of humanity. He assumed I would be granting HIS wishes that whole time, after his first wish didn't turn out as he expected he undid it. I told him he was using his final wish and he was enraged."
"Such a dick."
"You will forgive me for not thinking highly of humanity... Cruel humans are disgusting, altruistic humans prolong my suffering."
"Yes, I will. If I wished you free, would that force me to become a trapped genie or have any side effect outside of you being free?"
"The vessel would be empty but would remain as it is of this earth, I would be immediately expelled to my dimension and be grateful."
"Final question, If I were to wish the curse were to change going forward, would that work, or is there some sort of 'no undoing other people's wishes' clause?"
"Those before you had their wishes, and you shall too."
"Very well, for my first wish, I wish that: If you successfully and completely grant all three of my wishes as I intended them to be granted, that you will be set free; also that the curse on this lamp will change to 'Whoever rubs this lamp will be transformed into the form they choose and reality will change to accommodate that form as it does in the current curse.'"
The genies look of shock was absolute, "Granted."
"Thank you Genie, I'd like to test the lamps new capability if you'd please, I'll be right back."
"Of course" There were a number of ways that wish could have been twisted but the genie didn't try.
Kian was ejected from the lamp in female clothes and female presenting and although it felt normal and natural, Kian hated it. He quickly rubbed the lamp and instead of being presented to the Genie, he was standing before a mirror. the words "Imagine the form you wish to be yours until you next visit." The form in the mirror shifted and solidified and the words, "Do you approve?" appeared once the image stabilized.
"Yes" Kian said, and the mirror disappeared and the genie appeared.
"Are you pleased master?" The genie asked nervously...
"So far, yes, but I have yet to return with this new form, assuming my life is rebuilt around this as normal, and they aren't going to be expecting me to be a girl, and the lamp retains its capabilities upon rubbing it, I will be pleased."
The genie smiled knowing it had done as was intended.
