"How about this one?" your girlfriend asks. The ride is a covered tunnel, with little boats going inside. Painted one the exterior are various scenes of clowns, with two actual clowns at the entrance taking the money, and big neon sign over the top, flashing FUN HOUSE.
You shrug. "Why not?" Instead of horror, this funhouse seems to be clown themed. You don't particuarly like clowns, nor do you dislike or fear them.
You give one of the clowns your money. "Thank you, hehehyaha," he says and honks his big red nose. "You lovebirds are gonna LOVE this ride, heheyaha believe you me." He squeezes his nose again. HONK! HONK!
What you and your girlfriend didn't see was the exit on the other side-the boats came out on the other side. In place of the people who entered, the boats exited have a group of clowns. And they are not wearing makeup, they have been physically transformed into clowns. While they are aware of what happened, they are now psychologically compelled to behave as the clowns they look like. Brutish looking thugs grab the newly transformed, put chains around their necks and dragged them to van where they will be taken to work as slave-performers for circuses, amusement parks, and entertainment agencies.
You and your girlfriend are led by another clown to boat with capacity for two. Both of you sit down and a bar locks down across your laps. The boat takes you past the entrance into a cotton candy smelling pink fog. Your noses start to tingle, your shoes feel tight and you both start to feel.... funny.
