"So is Cynthia cute?" Jasmine asked, causing Rachel to nearly choke on her food.
"You couldn't leave it alone, could you?" Rachel sighed.
"I'm your little sister, it's part of the job," Jasmine laughed. "So, is she cute?"
"Yeah, she is cute, but I'm pretty sure she's human," Rachel said with a shake of her head. "And I don't even know if she'd be into women honestly. She's nice, and she was willing to bring me into her D&D group. She did talk about the Werecat prides and I think I got a bit of a werecat scent from her... not enough that she is one, but maybe she knows some."
"Well, I'm glad you have a few friends at least," Charlene said with a soft smile. She had been worried about Rachel finding new friends in Moon Lake, she had always been a bit more closed off to the world than her sisters even before this. The fact that she made at least one friend quickly helped a lot. "Sounds like you had a lot of fun at the game."
"Oh! Yeah! I got the final hit on the boss!" Rachel said, her eyes lighting up a bit in excitement. "She created a really cool setting and I really had a lot of fun. I can't wait to play again next week."
"Well, I'm glad you had fun," Charlene said with a nod. "Well, hopefully it goes well with your new girlfriend."
"Mom!" Rachel protests. "Not you too!"
The three women laughed and after a moment Rachel joined in. It was nice to have something to laugh about again.
